Anyone looked at this?
Seems like they have something going where you dont need a 3rd party DNS provider to access geographically blocked content.
I wonder if it works with Netflix and Hulu.
If it does I can see a lot of people switching to them soon.

*Edit* tried to link to the newsletter I got mailed but it redirects to another page.

I followed the instructions, and the DNS displayed by my modem/router changed. But Netflix still doesn't like my location.

Article will go up soon - looks like an interesting offering indeed.

The World Wide Web without limitations - Global Axxess (BETA) allows you to experience the Net unrestricted by your geographical location. This means you’ll be able to access content that was previously unavailable to you because you’re located in South Africa. Please note that this is a BETA service and currently only removes restrictions on certain US sites. Europe coming soon.

Hmmm, sounds like it's a bit on the legal fringes. Didn't think an ISP would play in this arena.

Works perfect on Netflix. Don't have a Hulu account but think I might just get one soon. Now to cancel my UnoTelly account and save that $4.95 per month bill. It was always a pain having to log in to UnoTelly each time my IP changed.

Nice one Axxess ;)

I tried again, and I can now get to the Netflix registration page, but it doesn't accept my sign-up:

"Sorry, we are unable to complete the signup process now. Please try again later."

Pandora tries to load, but times out.

I bet this service gets shut down before the end of this month. Way to many companies in South Africa that will get hurt by this.

I turned it on now, disconnected my UnoTelly and checked ... Seems to only work with Netflix though :(

Hulu didn't work.
Pandora didn't work.

It'll be cool once they support more services ... But for now it's turned off and UnoTelly is turned back on.

DNS suitehas teething issues but axxess seems on top of it

I can confidently say the site works pretty well, I have tried a few sites Hulu plus does definitely work. Only issue is with xbox, netflix and hulu not quite working yet, went through the process of creating accounts in US local xbox live, and I am able to download US apps and some of them work, the 2 big ones hulu and netflix not yet. Although as this is a Beta they seem to be working on this and have even taken a request for Amazon prime to be looked at. This is awesome news and hope the other ISP's follow suit as it is a grey area and they can offer it the user is the one at risk not them.

Happy days good TV for 80 rand a month

I turned the dns suite on, I could create and account on netflix using the browser on my pc, but when i try to login on my xbox, netflix says that I am in SA and netflix isnt available here.
I do have a US based hotmail account, which i used to download the app, so it isnt xbox that is blocking me, I updated the dns on the xbox to the ones listed on my router, then i get a netflix error nw-1-19. I googled the error, and got a dns that gets rid of the 1-19 error, but netflix knows i m in SA :(
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Well, it's been officially canned due to "Legal Pressures"
