Axxess Mobile launched

Afrihost's Zest launch had a better deal:
For R1,999 once-off, existing Afrihost customers will be able to buy the Zest T1 smartphone and 1GB of mobile per month for 12 months.

/fail, pricing in the article. :)

Only thing wanting us to use this as a backup is 3 month roll over. Can't see any other else? Maybe upto 14Mbps but that is if i stand outside with hands raised up :D

Exited for my Zest T1. Dual SIM FTW! That Tablet is also starting to attract my attention :D

Axxess has data rollover while Afrihost doesn't. Therefore Axxess is better.

As long as we can take advantage of Afrihost's double data promotion, I'd personally rather use them.

Data rollover is nice for people who use their mobile data irregularly.

Actually I'd say if you use mobile data irregularly then you don't need it. You buy as you use. As someone that does use data regularly I cannot predict how much I will use every month hence rollover being awesome.

I predict that Afrihost will follow suit with data rollover, which would be awesome

Given that Afrihost owns Axxess, I have my doubts. I would think that they would intentionally differentiate the offerings as to catch a wider segment of the total market. Otherwise, what would be the point of Axxess offering mobile products in the first place? They are not locked into competition with Afrihost in the normal sense.

I think afrihost is getting bad press from the T1. So they push it to their subsidiary to market now . Axxess data costs the same so the data rollover is a better offer. Also zest cannot sell many more without some free data attached. Next time round I will consider their flagship offering but not as a guinea pig like this time, I will read the reviews and forums thoroughly first.
