Axxess - Need I say more...

Hi Peeps.

So at the end of August I decided that enough was enough and after 4 years of Wireless I decided to phone Telscum and apply for a 4MB line. To my suprise by the 6th day after my phonecall the line was put in and I was online.

Being based in PE I decided to go with Axxess as the company is about 2 km from my house. Phoned them up and took the 384 Uncapped account.

Since 1st Sept till now (Sept 20) I have done 805GB. Not one minute down time from Telkom and not a weird phone call from my ISP telling me what the hell am I doing LOL... (As was the case with my wireless ISP's = AerosUCK and TTS)

I did get a phone call from Axxess techies but to my suprise it was to tell me that im on my way to a record for most downloads in a month EVER... they actually told me to keep it up!!!!

I know the owners quite well (at a social level...not on a business level) and have to say that these ppl are simply amazing and the staff is impeccable with their service. I mean the whole company on a Friday start drinking at the office round 1pm LOLOL...

Just want to thank Axxess for making my life so much easier and the transition to Telscum worth while.

I highly recommend Axxess for their great service and amazing hospitality. The best part is there is no contract.... no need to sign for 12 or 24 months...

805gb what the f... have you been downloading? Where you putting it all.

But I must agree Axxess rock, their systems are great.
 
I took up Axxess 384 Uncapped on Friday. And so far, my list is growing all the time ;D
 
How on earth do you dl that much? Where from? Where do you get speeds that allow that kind of download? 805Gb in 20 days - that's 40Gb a day... again, how on earth is that possible unless you are trying to mirror a local FTP site.

That's like 8 full DVD's a day (talking space, not movies)... again, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

thinking about it again it's quite a feat. i get just over 17 gig per weekday, and double that per saturday and sunday in my calculation assuming you're d/ling at 400kB/s. private international p2p could manage that much perhaps? coz then you'll be uplading aswell

...obviously as long as you don't need support or great service after 1 on a Friday! ;)

By the way, your post was great and I was thinking that they must be real good then I got to the part where you said that "I know the owners quite well" and it diluted all of what you said a little bit unfortunately.

There are plenty places to get it but I would assume torrents or NSs.

P0rn is the only way you can do that, forget what anyone else says! ;) There are just not enough good "normal" movies around that justify actually downloading them.

How would you do 40Gb of torrents a day - most are international anyhow... can someone tell us how fast you need to d'l to get 40Gb a day down?

That sure is a record!!! Thumbs up to Axxess as well. I don't think there could be other ISPs around that would do the same.

Would like to hear what you d/loaded for the month - please post back here :D :D
 
Well done on finally realising the folly of the wireless way.
Our Wireless ISP's are so not capable of providing the kind of service that will make them massively profitable and respected.
+1 from me for Axxess.

EDIT: I hope they are not encouraging their employee's to drink and drive. That is a really really dumb way to put your employee's lives at risk, not to mention socially irresponsible.
