Axxess Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

20:40 News.axxess.co.za running at a whole 2 KB/s *ugh* this is seriously useless
 
Thanks guys, going to try something else in may, any recommendations ?

Spot on. If you take the 4096 package you wasting your money. Its def more suited to slower line speeds, but even then, during the day shaping is terrible
 
on 4096 - can't even download some attachments (110k) from gmail... 400 BYTES/sec then timeout.
 
We all getting screwed here. 11pm and im only getting 20kB/s on torrents. Sad Sad Sad.

They were very sneaky with there R1 special, effectivly locking us in for the month of April, for one day's access. The BS part is that they only activated the R1 late in the afternoon. So for 4 hours extra surfing, im stuck with them for the month. Cant wait to move to Mweb. A real isp.

which torrent client are you using? I managed to get a bit of a speed boost by using vuze in the "anti shaping mode" and fiddling with the ports, nothing spectacular but an improvement.
Still can't believe gmail doesn't work though!
 
I noticed last night that my NZBs were slow-ass (2KB/s) until 9pm, and then they came down at my full line speed (384k).

I honestly don't mind shaping if it's reasonable, but it appears not everyone is being shaped in the same way, or at the same times.

Come on, Axxess, make this account worth the R197 we've paid, and get the shaping right.

Oh, that's right, you don't care and most of us have already cancelled, so why bother.

I really wonder if MWEB is going to be a different animal when I sign up with them next month. Hope so.

Hi there the reason that there is a speed difference is that this is a shapped account and it prioratises ports

Obviously they are selling 4Mb/s services, and only providing 10% of that for 100% of the money.

I haven't seen 4Mb/s since I signed up, the best I got was 240Kb/s over the weekend, so yes, at best they are providing 50% of what was promised.

Same here, tested 1.2Mb/s this morning. Switched to WA prepaid and went full speed.
 
From What I understand, all the following ISP's buy there accounts from IS and these account are authenticating with IS and controlled by IS (and should be all exactly the same), the only difference is the service from the ISP

I went with axxess as my other accounts that i use for gaming are with them and i have been a client of there for a few years... i have tried a few ISP within this time that i have been with axxess, like i had a 30 gig local from webafrica which i stopped in March as the uncapped was just a bit more in price (which i have done over 30gig (up and down) this month already).

this is your Tag.... just stop wasting time and money and go for mweb... todate i have done 120gigs on my 4meg line.... and its only the 7th
 
This feedback is so odd... I've had Axxess Uncapped 4086 since 1 April and over the long weekend did not have any issues with it whatsoever. HTTP downloads were flying at full line speeds at any time during the long weekend.
I haven't tried torrents or newsgroups yet, so maybe that's the catch... but many people were complaining HTTP browsing, etc. and I had no issues with that.

Will have to try newsgroups and day-time weekday speeds to fully form an opinion ...
