Axxess Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Torrents ran "ok" during the weekend.
I can kind of live with 100KB/s to 300KB/s.
6am this morning they dropped to 40'sKB/s
Will need to see if they go back up at night or if this is the new norm'
 
Lets hope axxess will wake up and be a bit more like mweb. "Mweb Guy: Can't imagine there will be much need for shaping over the long weekend so enjoy the freedom of uncapped!"

We being shaped today as if it was a normal day... :(
 
Yeah unfortunately on the Axxess Uncapped Shaped 384 account I am getting shaped down to dial up at the moment. Really not happy about this. Reckon that at the end of this month I will cancel and go to either Afrihost or Mweb. Seems like Mweb is the better option at the moment.
 
Must say I've been gettting better speeds lately (200kB/s). Will see if its just the long weekend

EDIT: Rapidshare is stil heavily shaped. If I fire up 8 consecutive downloads I get a max of 40kB in total and I can't browse at all. No sites open (local or international) and it feels like my line is maxed out. If I stop rapidshare downloads I can browse again.....Not good :mad:

Astraweb is down to 20 - 25kB this morning, had it up to 280kB Sunday evening. I guess a public holiday counts as office hours.

EDIT: Its now up to 120kB since 6pm.

My axxess 384 uncapped(shaped) has been running at full blast since friday night. The speeds are awsome. Keep up the good work axxess. Gonna be intersting tomorrow morning when the work week starts...
 
Over the Weekend the speeds were great but for the past hour have dropped. Is this the same elsewhere? Please let me know before I chat to them.

Its Monday night 7:10, RapidShare and Torrents are slow again..
Torrents I get 1 kb/s
Rapidshare does not even want to download

on 384 line

Edit: its been slow since 5am, but was thinking it would be faster at night
 
Same here. I suppose everyone has returned home. It seems the smaller ISPs just can't compete with the big guys.

I think the performance is the same across all the IS accounts, for whatever reason, they've chosen to make this account very limited, already cancelled, will try mweb next month.

If Axxess wont/cant adjust to whats out there, then there is no point staying
 
Well, Im not sure what you guys are doing wrong as Im sitting on a 384 shaped account with axxess and my overall performance is good... Yes it does go a bit slow for my liking because
I am use to my 4 Mbps line, but im getting what i want, just a bit slower, my avarage download speed is about 35 kbps (sometimes i get up to 70) and up is about 40 (sometimes up to 60).
My Avarage usage is siting at 250 Megs an hour (mostly from INTERNATIONAL TORRENTS sites like piratebay)

Normal downloads are fine, its rapidshare and torrents (or simular) that is hecktically slow
