Axxess Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

AXXESS uncapped sure sucks - thought they were big boys in the ADSL market.
My Mweb uncapped on the other hands is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better.
 
I canceled my account with them. Will rather spend R500+ on an ISP that can actually give me a 4Mbit account as apposed to the throttle to hell 2Mbit (A.K.A advertised on their site as a 4Mbit) uncapped account!

Dude, you're lucky. I've been getting 384Kbs speeds during the day, 1Mbs at night. At least I've also cancelled. Where to next?
 
Well this is a reply I received when asking about their uncapped accounts as a reseller "IS is currently busy with infrastructure upgrades, they have told us that it will take 1 to 2 weeks before it is completed and it should provide a much better service with almost double their current capacity."

Basically I asked if there has been any improvement from the initial release to policies etc. so I can market this as an option for my clients, also asked 4 a test account 4 48hours but they don't issue these....4 uncapped.
 
I cancelled my uncapped account with them! I'm paying for a 4Mbit account but getting 1 to 2Mbit (IF I'm lucky) speeds at night! I complain about it and get told it's a 'best effort' account meaning they can't guarantee the speeds.
 
Reading this post only adds to my post the other day. Summary, AXXESS is full of ***** and they don't give a continental about their customers.

I am looking to move to an uncapped solution and im currently looking at axxess due to the fact that they offer 2 sim connections. Can anybody please tell me what their experience is with Axxess as of late? I am also a gamer so if anyboday can add some info on network performance with regards to online gaming i would really appreciate.

This is my first month on the Axxess Just Uncapped 4096 account. Moved here from Mweb. I was also attracted by the 2 connections: R496/2=R248!

I've been happy so far and we use both connections. Used close to 200 GB this month on a 4 Mbps line/account. The usual stuff: web, email, skype, streaming and usenet downloads. Haven't done any gaming this month but I have no doubt it will be fine. In fact isn't IS one of the few to be peered with everyone?

I think the trick with this account is to not download 24x7, then you don't end up being throttled.

Afrihost is in my opinion the best value for money, I have a 4Mb line and 50Gb unshaped Data (the data is R475 pm... which is not bad) My downloads reach like... 600 so anyone wanting fast internet access or torrent downloads...uncapped is not the way to go! All our ISP's has raped the meaning of Uncapped... :mad:
 
yeah capped will be fast, if you want full speed 24/7 you need pay for unshaped sadly, as even by passing shaping then you will get some warnings for it :P
 
Happy with my Axxess Express+ account, have done around 175Gb on it already since the 1st of January.
