How to get the most out of AXXESS UNCAPPED

AS per the Topic

not sure about the rolling thresholds etc

any tips and advice on how to get the most out of this account?

Thats what i planed on doing, but after 5 gigs rolling threshold i will be Throttled to 192kbps! - so i shouldnt worry about it then, just let it run and run., and wait for after hours so i can get 4 meg speeds!
 
I gave up on the 5G rolling threhold - but I must add that I do most of my downloading at night anyway. I don't use a download manager but I do queue my downloads in newsbin pro which I just stop in the mornings. The wife uses it during the day for emails and a bit of browsing.

You can easily get to 500G's a month by doing the same :)
 
I plan to use the account on 1 PC that does all the downloading and then when i need speed i can either change accounts or use another PC!
So if i have exeeded the rolling threshold am i right in saying that i will still get full speeds after hours?
 
Yes, after hours you get your full line speed (and of course over weekends). Your speed is only throttled during the day (08:00 to 18:45)

I am not at home during the day(weekdays) - so it suites me. ;)
 
Either newsgroups like Astraweb or file hosts like rapidshare are the best way to max a line out. Torrents are OK but are dependent on seeders plus the best private torrent sites expect people to keep a decent share ratio.

I tried several apps incl cFos if I recall correctly. It also didn't work out for me.

I think the issue is that I want to run my downloading apps on the gateway PC itself. So I want to manage the connections originating on the gateway as well as those passing through the gateway originating from other PC's on the LAN.
 
I have being using the Axxess uncapped acount now for the past year and still loving it.

Another issue with one of the apps were that you had to run it on each device. Which didn't work for my iPhone or PS3.
