Axxess Uncapped

It's amazing... I check on http://users.isdsl.net/home.php and my usage does not match the same usage as when queried via SASA ADSL stats and my manual records... something strange afoot...

I assume account status would show if you had "broken the rules". Maybe others can comment?

How/Where do you check your rating?

I had to phone them (Axxess) because my speeds were so damn slow. They confirmed I was in the 20% and said my * rating was 2. The worst * rating is 1.

The mythical star rating... apparantly only IS knows... it's supposed to hidden in the basement of their data-centre managed by IGOR who decides with arcane acts of dark internet magick! The results are drawn up on an Etch-A-Sketch and then diseminated to the unholy ranks of the ISP B.O.F.H.

Translated as : Your guess is as good as mine :)

I apparently have a bad rating due to downloading 1Gb in a day??? Crawling along at under 1Mb on my 4Mb account on a 10Mb line :)

Same. I was doing 1gb a day (which I think is NOT excessive) and was put into the 20%.

You have to phone them unfortunately.

edit: I think how the * rating works is that at the start everyone has a 5* rating, and once you hit the 10-day rolling window threshold your * rating lowers depending on your data usage. Lower * rating = lower speeds.

I had the same problem with my 1mb line. Got put into the top 20% and had a 2* rating. It was like going back to the dial up days :/ Moved to Openweb Gold and can download and browse all I want without throttling!

OP try Openweb 384 uncapped for R219pm.

How much do you manage to download a month on average with this account?

When I had the Gold Uncapped 384 last year we (between 2 of us) did on average about 70gb a month.

This is my first month on Gold Uncapped 1mb and my flatmate pulled just over 5gb during the day a few days ago. We don't download as much we used to, but I'm happy to say Openweb will give you full line speed when you want to download.
