Bad accident - Audi vs Discovery 3

I got 255/35/19 tires on my cab (Audi A6 3.2 FSI Quattro). Hit a massive pothole about a year back (looking in the left mirror while changing lanes so missed it). Burst front right and damaged rear right.
Cost R5,300 a tire. Thankfully I could claim back from insurance.

Hey, I didn't know you could claim that from the insurance :o
A friend of mine lost three tyres to potholes on a stretch between Wepenaar and Zastron is the Free State. I wonder if it's not too late for him to claim that back from insurance.

As long as he has the invoice from when he purchased the tires and has the tires for them to inspect, all should be good.

It will be like any normal claim. They will need to assess the damage to validate the claim.

Those 4x4 people are morons that think speed kills. Just because their cars can't go fast does not mean speed kills. Bunch of dimwits wearing out our roads along side trucks.

I dare say speed killed the Audi driver. Apparently bits of his organs were collected off the Discovery by paramedics? Ouch. That takes some doing in an Audi.
