Bad Driving thread

One of my pet hates, people pushing in from the wrong lane. An SFI group vehicle shows us how it's done.

Whether I let people in like that or not, depends on how likely it is that I think they made an honest mistake.

That guy did not make an honest mistake - he wanted to get ahead, so I would not have let him in. You can tell when someone makes an honest mistake because they try to lane switch early, as soon as they realize their mistake. A guy wanting to get ahead will leave it to the last possible second to get as far as possible.

^ re the above

I only do the push in when I'm in an absolute hurry, or it's an emergency, but that is so seldom.

I'll rather sit and wait in the queue than trying to push in.

And, yes, it do irritate me as well when "self-entitled" people try to push in instead of waiting in the queue.

Lol. "Self entitled" doesn't apply to yourself it seems. Being in a hurry doesn't exempt you from the rules. Stick to them.

Grey BMW 3 series

N2 west about 1km from M3 exit

BM in the left lane, I'm in the centre, bus lane to the right. Idiot decides to change lanes on top of me. I hoot and he just keeps coming. I speed up and get in front, and he slots in behind me. A minute later, he switches into the right lane, again, without an indicator. Next time, at least use the little orange lights on your car, idiot!

This chop proceeded to go all the way left and exit behind the caddie after indicating right.

Is it opposite day today?

This is my experience, my road has a speed bump and a yield sign for pedestrians. To the left of me is a stop street.

Cyclist decides to ignore stop street, then decides to pass me from the left which is literally by the pavement to go into the oncoming lane. All this while im going over le speed bump.

Didn't hoot because I actually almost thought it was my fault. Then after a while I realized it wasn't my fault. Should've hooted the guy. But anyway that's over.

Why do cyclists not obey simple things like stop signs? 75% of cyclists really don't care about stop signs and rules of the road.

Cyclists and joggers both very entitled.

I once drove past two joggers that were jogging on the road next to the pavement. Yes, there was a flat, perfect pavement built specifically for pedestrians, and they decided that their entitled little feet had to run on the road next to this wondrous pavement.

So I didn't really move out the way, I just drove straight. They actually banged my car as I drove past because I had the cheek to drive in my lane on the road. I was in no danger of hitting them but I didn't give them a wide berth either.

As a jogger myself, I make sure I am off the road as much as possible. I run on the road only when there is no other choice and would certainly have chosen the pavement (there were no other pedestrians on the pavement). I mean, can you imagine what would have happened if I was checking my phone, or drunk or something? It happens all the time, so why jog like an idiot? Wear highly visible clothing and keep off the road as much as you can.

I vote for forcing roadhoggen biggencars drivers for driving the Peel P50 for two months.

Blue light brigade roadhogs get the added bonus of using the Peel P50 for four months straight.

Had a nasty run in with a taxi driver today. He sped up the shoulder lane and cut me off while I was crossing an intersection. I had to slam on breaks. So I hooted and swore at him. He punched my sunroof, tried to cut me off and generally intimidate me. He then caught me at a set of robots. I just kept calm, didn't show any fear and he left me alone. I just don't see it getting any better. These people don't see any issue with such behaviour.

Edit: I think a dashcam will be a good investment.

Does any insurer give any discount on having a dashcams?
Think it will go well here, just needs to be implemented
