Of course we can, but some of us prefer not to do it while sitting in the peak hour traffic.

Vaguely related to bad driving...
Apparently the robots at an intersection in Hillcrest were out this morning (may still be out), and some random person decided to take it upon himself to turn into a pointsman.
What baffles me is that people then pop onto Facebook to praise this person, even though what the person is doing is highly illegal and downright dangerous. Some people seem to take exception to the illegality of the act being pointed out to them, the clearly have no idea what might be in store for them from an insurance point of view if an accident occurs due to the actions of one of these unofficial pointsman. I personally ignore unofficial pointsman and follow the rules of the road.
I normally agree with what you have to say, however, in this case I must commend the guy who took over the pointsman duty.
He is adding some structure to a system that very quickly becomes chaotic on SA roads, as 95 out of 100 people start interpreting their own version of what is correct and what's not, and we all know where 95 out of 100 people in SA fall in that scale.
Kudos to the guy for trying to get some normality out of the daily chaos that greets us on our roads.
To whom it may concern
I would like to file a complaint regarding the appalling and downright shocking behaviour that one of your suspected employees exhibited on the 5th of August 2016 at 16:30 on the N2 freeway approximately 40km from Grahamstown heading towards Port Elizabeth.
A male driver of a white Chevrolet Utility with registration number CY 211-627 was driving behind me whilst driving through a portion of roadworks and decided to overtake my vehicle on the left side of the road near the verge, spraying my vehicle with gravel, stones and dust in the process whilst also forcing themselves in between my vehicle and the emerald green Toyota Corolla in front of me.
This is completely unacceptable behaviour on a national road from someone who is supposed to have completed the standard driving test as per government regulations, and the arrogance displayed by your driver forcing his way in between my vehicle and the one in front of me is horrific.
A few kilometers after the incident where the road narrowed from both sides with road marker chevrons, they overtook the Toyota Corolla that was in front of them on the right hand side and swerved in front of the lady driver, narrowly missing her and causing her to slam on the brakes which meant I nearly rear-ended her vehicle as a result. The last I saw of the driver of the while Chevrolet Utility was when they overtook approximately 8 cars going up an embankment with a blind rise on a double barrier line whilst again cutting in front of the commercial truck that was at the front of the queue of cars going up the hill.
I am utterly disgusted to think that I along with hundreds upon thousands of other road users have to share a road with this driver as I feel their driving is reckless and careless and is putting their life, the life of their passengers and other road users in danger.
I respectfully request that your driver be offered a course or refresher on safe, responsible driving on South African roads before they are allowed to be behind the wheel of a vehicle on a road, as their complete disregard for the rules of the road and lack of courtesy whilst en route to their destination(s) is both a danger to themselves, their passenger(s), fellow road users and pedestrians and I would hate for this incident to go unnoticed only for the driver to continue driving in the way they exhibited on the day mentioned.
Also please find attached a photograph of said vehicle near the location of the incident for your records.
I look forward to your response.

Had to endure this today.
Yup, gives me my petrol consumption in real time. I didn't put the reflective sticker to use it in the sunlight, its bright enough for me to see it though.Do those Heads-up display thingamajigs really work?

Yup OBD 2.Linked to OBD?
Last night I braved the R27 to Veldrift. Why can't people wait their turn to over take a truck? Two beemers and a Q7 overtook a string of 8 or more care on a stretch with double lines.

And slow moving trucks and cars, please GTFO into the yellow line. Just like I do when I'm cruising at 120 and something faster moves in from behind.
Two can play that game. If I see you coming from behind while I am waiting for someone else in front to pass a truck then what is stopping me from doing the same? Then you'll have to drop back and wait for me.Cos if you wait for all the schmucks stuck behind the truck, you'll never ever get past. People can't overtake and just sit there. Till it's a blind rise, then they ease past, in top gear, at 45km/h. Nope, they get one chance to go, then it's my turn.
