This Video Switches over to the Front Facing Dash Cam @ 1:18

1. Noticed this car driving dangerously close to me. 6:45am, rush hour traffic. Woodlands Drive, Johannesburg.

2. Noticed a kid in the car. I couldn't see if it was a toddler in a child seat sitting in the back, or if the kid was standing in the car. You can notice the kid's head in the middle.

3. Dangerously overtaking. Almost causing a head on collision. Shame on you DT48SP GP! :RedNo:

What's funny is he'll get to his destination maybe 5 seconds earlier. Notice how you stop the same time at the robot.

I tend to wave to those type of drivers that drive like maniacs and then you stop next to them. Also a fun thing to do is to drive in such a way that you catch all the traffic lights green. Then you wave to the idiot that speeds off at each traffic light just to get to the next one that is red.

I suggest someone sits down with this lady and has a frank discussion on how not to behave when you have kids in the car (looked like a ±4 and ±10 year old).

1) Don't slam on brakes while the road ahead is empty so that you can cut across a lane to hit your exit. It also helps to put on your indicator before you attempt such manoeuvres. Had it been a truck behind you (common with the construction in the area) your day may have been a lot worse.
2) When the guy behind you (me) slams on brakes as well and then briefly hoots (1sec max) don't further endanger your kids by now trying to keep up with me just so that you can flip me the bird and have provide me with some choice words
I'll admit, something triggered me at this point and I did silly things to also take the exit but then I decided to pull over rather.
3) The lady did the same because she needed to rant. Why she pulled over with kids in the car to confront someone who in her mind was dangerous I have no clue.
4) I suggest you don't call people the k word ever, nevermind in front of your kids. Apparently I drive like one though. And look like one. And I own the road like one.

I'd also suggest not putting your younger child in the front seat.

ND 632-335 some ugly Jeep.

Real ******** road rager.
First time I thought he was driving into me I thought I was imagining things.
I really didn't know what pissed him off. It was a leisure drive for me on a Sunday. No work or school rush. I did overtake him once but not anything unusual.
If I accidentally cut someone off I always apologize.
He kept slowing down in front of me and showing me the middle finger and swearing.
I wish I had my dash cam but was driving wife's car. (/gotta get one for her)
Maybe he was drunk?

Not to be racist but all road ragers I've personally come across are middle aged white guys.

I rage like crazy. But it's usually for legit stuff. I do admit that I usually find myself raging at taxis and cars that push into a line of traffic from an illegal point. Taxis cause chaos wherever they go.

Are you sure you didn't do something to make this guy get upset? I have seen people do some really bad things such as cutting off people in their blind spot, or veering into other lanes. I give them the wake up gesture and they always look so puzzled. People zone out in their cars, or take chances.

One thing that I have noticed, people tend to push into the lane next to them if there is any sort of obstruction in their lane (such as a taxi picking up passengers). If that happens, you don't have right of way to push into the lane next to you. I have had to make way for people pushing in in this manner.

This is what a hooter and flickers are for...

It is absolutely bad and criminal behavior to "rage" if someone veers in your lane accidentally or absent-mindedly or swerves to avoid running down passengers coming off a taxi etc.

So I assume if your partner or child spills a drink on the couch you "rage" at them too.

It's people like you who need to go see a shrink to sort out your personal issues and not take it out on the road. That verbal abuse will translate into physical abuse and you will be sorry when you cross the wrong persons path.

Here let me help you...

It seems that more and more cars on the Joburg roads don't have working brake lights.

Makes the daily commute that much more exciting. :/

That is why I love the fact that my car is worth less than most others on the road. I will crash into you if you break the rules.
