I'll take a hit this time
Everyone is so busy blaming other cars but how often do we check ourselves?
I'm on William Nicol driving towards Monte Casino early morning when I realize my GPS is showing to go another way (I had audio off). Almost at the same time I notice a ridiculous queue of cars up front. I'm in the center lane and I've got a small window to take a left turn onto Witkoppen which is a dedicated lane still showing a broken line. I take it. I indicate, check, change lanes, check again, change lanes again. But somehow despite looking at blind side and mirror twice, which I do recall, I did not see the car there - I actually don't know how I missed it. So I obviously cut him/her off. Fortunately I never turn aggressively so it was rather slow motion.
Rightly so the other driver blasts me with his/her hooter, although they held it down for a good 10 seconds while I was using hazards to apologize. Oh well :/
Thought about it afterwards and 2 things, I did feel a little tired and I was also changing lanes too quick from a wider than normal angle. So lesson learned.
