Given that it took me nearly an hour and a half to get to work today, I figured I may as well name and shame a few of the prats that made the drive to work so damned long this morning.

The KwaMashu Rd interchange on the N2 in Durban is generally relatively free flowing, but not this morning. Think the municipality decided since it was school holidays that it would be a good time to fsck with the robot timings (but that is a separate issue that I will be dealing with with the municipality directly).

So whilst the traffic was backing up nicely, every tom dick and knob-jockey who figured their pathetic lives were more important than everyone else decided that it was a great idea for them to just jump the long queue of cars and push in over the channelling line and yellow chevron on the freeway, and of course just cause the traffic to move even slower for those law abiding citizens who were trying to get to work.

First winner would be the driver of the DBN 02 vehicle from Sanitech. Have laid an official complaint with Sanitech about the driver so will see what happens from that.
**EDIT** Have already been contacted by Sanitech, they will be taking action against the driver since it is against company policy as well as the rules of the road.

Second winner would be the driver of the the truck from DonTrans who did a similar thing pictured below. Have also sent them an official complaint as well.

The ultimate winner would be the company owner of CopperStone Safetywear driving an NP200 bakkie who was attempting to push in right at the front of the queue also pictured below and in the above photo. Of course this idiot had his cellphone number printed on the back of his vehicle, so he got a phonecall whilst sitting in his car and pretty much confirmed that he thinks since he is a "company owner" he is more important than the plebs who earn a salary trying to get to work.

Good for you :D

Too true :/ Home time today, driving on Sable Road, had a golf with 3 adults (2 older guys and a woman) getting all upset at me because I hooted them because they almost drove into me whilst they were crossing a solid line to go straight in a right only lane at the robot lights!

This morning on my way to work I was on Omuramba road before Racecourse road, As many of you may know that traffic light is simply horrendous with the waiting times.

So as i am patiently waiting in the line (about 400m before the intersection) the usual disrespecting taxi drivers speed down the road into oncoming traffic so that they can get to the front of the line.
After 3 or 4 taxis, a MyCiti bus (the feeder ones) came down the same route, into oncoming traffic, on the wrong side of the road, not a care in the world, fully loaded with passengers etc.
This happened at 7:20 AM

I got the bus number and have reported the driver to the CoCT (not that anything will come of it, but anyway)
Which intersection?

And then there's you driving in the shoulder to cut in front of the Mini... :erm:
I was trying to join the traffic from the on-ramp. Yes, I had to cut-in in front of the Mini as I saw what was happening in the rear view mirror. These guys will ram you off the road :(

I have seen taxi's queued in the MyCiti lane blocking the busses, completely blocking them. The taxis are the problem on Omuramba road, and yes, those robots are a nightmare. So are the ones at Sable Square.

The City needs to adjust the timing on these lights.

They recently added right turning signals to the lights at the intersection of Bosmansdam & Democracy way, they worked for ONE day! Since then they have been turned off, never worked again.

As for the Taxis in the MyCiti bus lanes, every afternnon on my way home along Koeberg road (After Plattekloof) they race in those lanes doing at least 100km/h on the way to Dunoon... Law enforcement is non-existent unfortunately

Law Enforcement only seems to catch those in the bus lane of the R27. They avoid the more problematic areas of Joe Slovo and Du Noon.

No, you could have filtered in like the rest of us.

What happened in your rear view mirror for you to cut into the yellow lane, and push in front of the Mini?

Just had an Interwaste truck CZ97VZGP tailgating me, swerving lanes at 120 on the M1 North (limited at 100) before taking the off ramp in Woodmead at full speed, then doing 90/100 on Woodmead Drive and changing 3 times lanes between two robots (to end up stopped at the same red robot than me).

If there was any sudden slowdown, this guy would most likely become a mass murderer...

The cherry on top is that Interwaste contact section emails don't work...

To the owner of the white C250 who turned into Jan Smuts this morning, forcing me to brake in wet conditions, then braking in front of me, only to roll his window down and swear at me, after I didn't hoot, flash or throw any signs... have a great day, hopefully you try the same thing with someone who can't stop in time.

Knobhead should try that with me...

After my last experience with arsehat drivers driving me off the road I vowed I will just drive into them and they can deal with the large towbar on the front of my vehicle.

PE, Cape Road, Newton Park about 30mins ago.

Blue Toyota Avanza with a sticker on the back:

BOLLIE'S Shuttle Service - The Legend Lives On - What We Do Best

... and an empty Coke bottle comes flying out the drivers window.
