Regarding the incident: Firstly, I was really surprised. Someone using an indicator in Gauteng on the highway. It is not the Gauteng-code-of-conduct. Secondly, the testing to see if atoms can possess the same space in this dimension is also not my preferred experiment during traffic. Lastly. Intimidation because a person drives a bigger car also doesn't work in Gauteng. Unless you have lots of blue lights on it. :D
 
^^ daily occurance, and when you don't allow them to cut in you get called every name under the sun. I've had a taxi hit me on purpose because i didn't let him cut in. He hit me and drove on, not a care in the world.

I can't say I've ever had a taxi actively hit me because I don't let them in...

I've had the "conductor" oke swearing at me in all sorts of languages, my window was open so I returned the favour, and also told him to go have carnal knowledge of a donkey in Zulu.... that made his eyes go a bit wide... :D...
 
I've never given a taxi way .

Fortunately have never been hit by one either .

Was on Modderfontein drive heading towards the N3 freeway. we all on the extreme left waiting to take the N3 south ( germiston) and there this van carrying workers in the back cuts across a fiesta to join the N3 south. the fiesta is obviously miffed and hoots at him. the guy in the van then stops and waits for the fiesta to come close. now at this point the van is building up traffic.

The fiesta tries to go around him and this guy cuts him off, and swears him and takes off like a mad person.

This type of response happens often, why I don't bother hooting much anymore, last guy I hooted at wanted me to pull over, and I presume have a boxing match. And HE was the one that changed lanes without indicating while I was accelerating in what WAS an empty lane. Don't remember the registration, but it was some or other plumbing company that the guy worked for.

WTF??? Where the heck are they going to do THAT???

Need some cops there, but then again, they will probably just collect KFC money and let it happen.

yeah even if the cops were there they have no power against these taxis, the taxis in jhb make a normal road into a one way every morning, in front of jmpd, they do nothing.

The other day one bumped me on my motorbike, in front of the cop, and drove away with him watching. They drive around the cop pulling cars over, the other day one came flying up, where the cop stood in front to pull him over the taxi sat on his hooter and went full steam ahead.

Haha that's getting around. Corner of Jan smuts and Gordon roads in Blairgowrie. Was taken by a member of our residents association and I put it on twitter...


There's a service road they're going into that runs parallel to jan smuts, to skip the traffic.
