I noticed you can buy aftermarket hooters/horns/toeters - if you can get your hands on a truck/train horn, you'll have lots of fun.
Yep, but for truck/train horns you'll need an air compressor with tank and control system, so it is a bit of a pain.
I considered putting one of these on my KLR. It had a really, really bad stock hooter that was as quiet as a mouse fartI noticed you can buy aftermarket hooters/horns/toeters - if you can get your hands on a truck/train horn, you'll have lots of fun.
Flip he isn't even using that lane to cut in front of anyone he is just hogging both the right and the middleA fairly common issue and I don't understand why the middle lane is straight only but many use it to turn right and some get surprised when they suddenly see a Touareg in their lane after turning...
Or these old timer hooters, have an old 6 Volt one which I drive with 12V. They do an excellent job of scaring people who are sleepwalking or driving with cellphones at their ears or typing WhatsApp/SMS's.I noticed you can buy aftermarket hooters/horns/toeters - if you can get your hands on a truck/train horn, you'll have lots of fun.

Sorry guys, I was taught that the best hooter is the one that is the silent one and never used, except in extreme emergencies.

You got a noisy horn? They get a groot skrik when they change lanes and all of a sudden they get greeted with the sound of a horn going off next to their car

Yes, it was the norm for people to obey the rules. And Common Courtesy prevailed as a result, So, the need to use the hooter was rare and mostly only for real extreme warnings.I can only assume that you were taught this because when you learnt to drive people actually obeyed the rules of the road and had behaviour that resembled common courtesy?
I was taught the same, but with the way people are driving today, it is best to use it and make somebody aware that you're really there, especially when said person is busy on a phone instead of concentrating on the road.Sorry guys, I was taught that the best hooter is the one that is the silent one and never used, except in extreme emergencies.
lol i remember and old fifa game (98 i think) they would have a video for every stadium in the game, and for south africa all you hear are the taxis hootersAnd, of course, the taxis are again the worst culprits.
