Most people (media, fans, players, coaches, soccer analysts) keep on saying we played well, gave Brazil a run for their money, yada yada, yada. Crap that. Soccer is about results and we lost last night, it does not matter if it was a respectable loss against Brazil.

We still lost...
We still not playing in the final.
We need to change our mentality of accepting mediocre results.
We can’t glamorise a defeat...
Bafana Bafana were defeated last night.

Our non-existent strikers failed us.
Our defence failed us.
Our Middlefield failed us.

The only respectable player in the team is Itumeleng Khune, at least to a great extend; he did his job well, which is to stop goals.
What did our strikers do?
Did they really do their duties?

South Africans, let’s stop settling for poor results.
We can do better, a lot better... We can win the World cup, but we need to change our attitude first.

I still support Bafana Bafana, but I’m very disappointed :-(

If you look at replays of all the South African games, the last one was their best IMO. They defended like mad, they had to! Pienaar put together a couple of nice forward movements. If they play like that in 2010, I've got high hopes - and I don't even like them!

But ya, losing is losing. I felt for them but couldn't help to chuckle at the faces of some of the supporters in the crowd as the camera panned across them. I also noticed SA's game completely lost flair and structure after that goal. Perhaps if they kept the momentum, they might have been in with a decent shy at a equalizer.

Yes the result matters, but they have improved. I think the upbeat feeling is more about how they played than the result.

Rubbish they played some of the best footie i have seen them play in years, bare in mind we were playing brazil last and for the most part they looked like the weaker team.

It took a stunning free kick to beat us and had moekena not headed over the bar and pienaar's shot not been finger tipped saved we would have won. It sometimes looked like brazil where us and we where them.

We play really and i think it's a bit silly going off about the result. Well done guys you made me very proud last night with your attacking play and awesome defense.

Share with you one good move? Dude there were so many, let's see moekona headed over the bar should have scored, how about pienaar coming within inches of scoring? I don't think you watched the game last night at all. Simple fact is we played really well last night, we just need to work on our finishing a bit.

Anyone who calls a midfield a 'middlefield', should not be critiquing Bafana Bafana about last night.

There were many players who had a good game last night:

Pienaar.
Modise
Gaxa
Tshabalala
Booth
Mhlongo

About time you gave up the tik pipe bud, they played exceptionally well and anyone that can't see that needs their head read.

I don't see how you can be about the only person in this entire country that thinks they played badly and still think your opinion is right.

Dellusional comes to mind.

Don't put a negative spin on things thats when we as supporters discouraged in believing in our team..

In all fairness I had no hope in SA even making it passed the first game, but after the game against Spain my outlooked changed and felt we do have some hope for 2010!

They played awesome last night, and be realistic one good move or dribble is not going to make a team great

Anybody that says SA played crap last night can go do something indecent to themselves. What I really want to say will only end up with me getting another infraction.

Those guys played their hearts out. Nobody really gave them a chance against brazil. So they lost, but they can still walk away with their heads held high

As a friend put it "They are the Junior "Special" Olympics team that Played a Premier Division team to a standstill"

The projected score was about 4-0 to Brazil.... they did very well to only loose by 1.

well we lack good strikers, we could have had a goal or 2 if our shots were actually on target.

Semifinals , Bafana Bafana made me proud. Score would have been 5 to 0 a few years ago. Give them time , they will win.
