Baldur's Gate 3

Found a worthless brain in a jar in the very beginning of the game on the Nautilus or whatever ship. Didn't know what its purpose was but kept it in my inventory all this time anyway, just in case.

Now weeks later I finally found a machine that let me talk to the brain. Cool. And here I thought it was just useless junk and I was gonna carry it around forever for no reason.

All these little details is why I love this game so much.

Found similar brains elsewhere throughout the game but didn't pick those up. Thought one would be enough lol. Kinda regret it but at least now I know for my next playthrough.

I hope it was the waking brain...

Nope, the dark brain I think that sang a little song. Only brain I picked up other than the 2 already next to the machine.

Why?

The interaction is different with a Waking Brain. I don't want to spoil it, but you can google it if you like. Or better yet, go find the waking brain.

Oh I see the waking brain is somewhere in the place I'm currently busy exploring where this machine is as well. Will look for it tomorrow and will def look for and pick up every brain from now on. They're easy to spot.

This is the last point you'll need them or have a use for them, so I wouldn't bother going forward. But the Waking Brain is worth it.

Finally made it to act 3. Or at least I'm outside Baldurs Gate, I assume that's act 3.

Now to find Minsc as early as possible. Don't want to find him near the end maybe and then I hardly had any chance to use him. Don't know how act 3 will play out. No idea where to start looking though...

Finally found Minsc (and Boo). What an entrance lol.

Also rescued Halsin who was captured by Orin, so finally have all companions.

And I also totally screwed things up with Lae'zel. Didn't think she'd find out. It's over between us guys :crying:

Oh well...

Yoh, is the Iron Throne underwater prison rescue mission the hardest mission in the game?

Want to rescue everyone but not sure how I'm gonna do that. Not only is the mission timed with a limited amount of moves but there's also a neverending wave of enemies and the people needing to be rescued are all spread out and on opposite ends of the facility.

And then Mizora shows up with a bunch of exploding spiders as well :cautious:

Luckily the enemies are all pretty weak but so too are the people I'm trying to rescue. Will keep trying till I've saved them all.

Cool mission though and lots of strategies to try like locking enemies in rooms as soon as I get prisoners out.

Yeah it's a tough one, make sure to cast haste, longstrider, the triple jump spell, mage hand, and use all the extra movement rings you can get.

Scrolls of dimensional door are great, run in and tp you and the escapee away (use these on Wyls dad to avoid spiders). Also misty step scrolls are good.

I have started a Honor mode play through damn its intense running into a battle knowing you may have to restart everything.

I have completed all of the githyanki creche and starting area. Working my way through the under dark then onto act 2.

I can't believe how many things I missed on the first playthrough, I found a secret group of water people and became their God. Can't wait for Minthara to join the party.

Also using a completely new set of chars, cleric-bard, fighter, monk-thief and sorcerer. Changes the entire game.

Ok it is done! Managed to rescue everyone after a few tries. Even had to pick up a gnome and throw him to to exit because he got stuck and refused to move lol.

Also used the 6-zombie summoning spell to distract enemies which helped a bit.

On to the next job...

Even the ones in the water chamber where endless enemies jump out of the water?

I just sealed the door and left them to their fate. Can't deal with cheaty mechanics like infinite enemies

Everyone. There were only 1 human and 1 gnome in the flooded chamber and they don't have to run far, so sent my strongest fighter and a couple of zombies there just in case, got them out and immediately shut the door. No problem :)

It's the ones in the side chambers that kept getting killed or stuck but eventually got them all out. Ignored all the loot.
