Agreed.

Larian's spin is very good. If one of the big bad (EA,MS or Activision) did this people would be outraged. But because it's Larian people are accepting this anti consumer move.

The 3 day head start was never advertised with a specific date. In fact when it was announced all the game had was spring 2023 as the release date.

The fact that they could send out review keys last Friday shows they could have honoured the 3 day early access. Chose for whatever reason not to.
 
The categorisation of "headstart" is incorrect. It is a single player game so you not getting "ahead" of anyone.

They were selling early access, not a headstart. And now they are giving you even earlier access. For free.

By your logic they have a right to charge you even more for the game now.

Maybe they'll give you some free stuff to make up for screwing you out of your 3 days

Technically you are incorrect. BG3 just like BG2 can be played as a co-op game. So not just single player.

If we are going to use that logic around release dates. Can we then get discounts every time a company misses a release date...

It was part of an offer. Doesn't matter how meaningless, if you remove part of an offer you are diminishing it.

Also the 3 September date was never mentioned as being tied to the offer on any of their marketing. So trying to claim we should be happy because we are getting it early is disingenuous. They didn't move it out of the goodness of their hearts, they moved cause of starfield.

What can they possibly offer for free to make up for it when the free upgrade to the digital CE was part of the offer.

If they were offering something in place they would have already done it.

They have done their calculations and decided their spin of it now being "a month early" will convince most of their fans. So no need to offer anything.

Haha my go to is elf female, normally hotter than the other classes and If I need to stare at something for hours on end it had better be good looking.

They never sold it with a head start in mind, early access when it came available didn't even have a release date and the majority of people that bought it got it back then.

They've given free upgrades to digital deluxe edition for anyone that bought into early access and the release date has been moved from the 31st to the 3rd of August. That makes up more than enough for the 3 days early release date.

Well technically we had early access to Act 1, you had the whole of Act 1 since the day early access started...

About all my titles is 100 gigs or more. In any case will see how gog goes... I've gotten mine from there since start of EA.
