Baldur's Gate 3

I can agree up to a point; however, I still feel that Tactical Adventures and Owlcat have done a much better job, especially when it comes to the interface and how they implement dice rolls without making it a massive Call of Duty-style chest n reward opening cinematic every time. Also, on the subject of encounters, BG3 sometimes forgets that it shouldn't always be a battle as intense as those in Icewind Dale. If I do want that, I'll just fire up my Icewind Dale installation from GOG. (or go full retard in Sekiro, Souls, or even Ghostrunner)

I'd really appreciate having more options for what I see on the screen (UI) as to what happens in the game (difficulty, encounters, rules). The latter has been handled quite well in Wrath of the Righteous. Hopefully, this will improve later on, especially through modding.

It seems like they've really missed the point of early access collaboration for these things and got too caught up in superficial aspects like appearance and sexual content - you know, prioritizing vanity over practicality.
Agree on most points on the UI improvements. Wrath of the Righteous is certainly better right now, but I think if you compare BG3 right now with WotR at launch, I think they are about at the same point.

I am enjoy the excellent production values on things like story, voiceovers, NPC and the like.

Plus I now know how a half-troll is made.

I'll compare both when I'm back at playing rouge trader beta

why would you be here and kerm about it if you don't like it. makes no sense? ;)

you're being skewered using your own words (direct quote of yours from another thread).

Just be lekker ouens
Perhaps, but I still think it's rather fair cometary. If you can't take off the rosy glasses, well then I guess the fault is with that person. Also I never said it's just kak, still very good for what it is. However, I do feel it's not the jesus christ has come to earth everyone keeps on copying pasting from each other.

It surely has some issues like the ui, the dice rolls and for example hard coded numerics internally like the boat sequence and the number of party members. If I objectively compare the UI for example I do find that solasta has kept itself to KISS a lot better. If I look at what I can do to mutate, improve or change in my game session, then surely wrath of the righteous has the most possible permeations of rule and game settings.

From a development process point of view, you had 5 years of public interaction, then surely some of these could have been picked up?

Let's compare what I've mentioned to this:

what's the point of D4?
Leveling

what else can you do?
Nothing

No story or anything that takes you to the end game?
Nope

Honestly I think they were forced to release the game early because of investor pressure and it will be good next year sometime.

Rather poor understanding of ARPGs to be honest. Any and all ARPG is about the number. The number on your stat. The number on your armor. The number of your level. The number of your damage. The number of your health. The number of ...

How does one increase that number?
You grind.

If your are going to kerm about the baseline process. Then you've missed the point and/or have a very poor understanding of it. It isn't suppose to be handout, nor endless marvel distraction garbage.

Will it get boring?
Yep, and some times that is fine

Can you do something about the boring?
Yes, flip on porn, series, audio books, listen to ****ing awesome music

APRG is grind. It has been like that since its inception.

No amount of release before, after, or even 100 years is going to change this fact. I mean grim dawn is boring as **** if you've already completed the tiers for the nth time. However, if that is your sole focus then you will be better playing something else. The trick as to most open world games, is to set your own game and targets within it. I will now go and kill 1 000 goat men naked without dying. Can I do this? Probably not. But I will try.

you're being skewered using your own words

Now if you can't tell the difference, or is going to kak on this just because I like to talk a lot of kak, point out kak, don't choose a religious, race, sexual preference or which airfryer or phillips toothbrush side, then please kindly ****off and don't except more replies.

Well, ARPG's are about putting in time, that's for sure. But in return players want to see things, for example level ups, unlocks, new gear, better gear, gems etc.

At the moment D4 is still very low on item diversity and quality, the same as D3 had been early on. Back then they also spent most of their time on the story and leveling maps, instead of focusing on any kind of end game.

But once they start adding a few more items to collect, better stat integration, fixing NM loops etc. then it's going to be vastly improved.

Anyways, tried to kill one kid in the 1st camp last night who is part of the group who steals from you. I see however they are both immortal but did get good loot from the two guards arriving to investigate the scene. I see there's no god-allknowning guards like in oblivion, so your sins are not permanent, well if you are not spotted and cause agitation to the point where the whole camp is on high alert. (side note: sadly no taking anyone to the nine hells, yet)

Let's compare what I've mentioned to this:

The party limit one was pointed out by a lot of EA players who played the originals. Along with the choice of only turn based combat and no rtwp option was the two biggest criticisms. Larian's answer was its their design choice.

You can increase the number through hexediting or manipulating its database rows however certain instaces/events has been hardcoded/scripted and will break or go bizzare if you have more than 4.

So for now I'm not investing in that although the pentesting me wants otherwise. Hehe.

So, allegedly karmic dice also makes you take more damage?

so it's a "bug" at times it seems

Combat feels better with Karmic dice (In my opinion) . You won't miss 6 times in a row with 50% for instance.
I did run into an interesting dialogue scenario. I had to roll two die and keep the lowest one.
I only needed the lowest one to be a 10. For 15 minutes straight I quick loaded the game and failed each and every time (Loadshedding was approaching anyways so I did a bit of testing. Only after I turned off Karmic dice, I succeeded on like the 3rd attempt.

The game works on laptop with Intel XE so I am happy I can play it.

Only thing that is an issue is all the secret places in buildings with things like perception where you really have to google is there a place you miss because you could miss a whole secret area. Your quests only show places you have interacted with and not those you haven't so you can miss out. Reminds me a bit of Elden Ring in that sense as if you never read up you would miss so many sections and bosses.

I wish there was some big areas or potential quests you have missed.

Got my first annoying bug. I pickup so much loot but shopkeepers can be far away so I sent it to the camps chest. However despite this the game still thinks the characters are overweight so can't jump or run, just walk incredibly slow.

Check your bag with camping supplies within your backpack - it can get very heavy if you continue looting cheeses, meats and sausages!
Also, arrange your backpack by weight and see what's filling up all the weight!
