I wonder if they are going to cap our phone calls next ??? I would not supprise me.
But they do already!! If your telkom account reaches a certain value, you are automatically cut off... to protect you - so they say - from overspending.

Don't be rediculous, phone calls have always been capped in South Africa in a sense :p

Remember that most countries don't charge for local phone calls, as it's included in the line rental. That was sighted as one of the barriers to further expansion of broadband in New Zealand, seeing as people there can be online 24 hours using dialup.

But our behated Telkom loves their double charging so that would probably never happen here :(

#11 dont clear cache, sites with large graphics and whatever eat bandwidth, but if its cached then it only does it once

c) Punch yourself out in the office of the Telkom CEO and sue.

e) All of the above

Avoid online newspapers with their extensive adverts and cancel all subscriptions that get delivered to your mail box. Also set your home page in your browser to something on your hard disk

Live in Gauteng, with all the power failures you are only online 35% of the time.

Saving tip Nr. 128749.

How about this.
PM me a list of files you want, I'll download it and post it to you.
You pay for the postage and the DVD-/+R.
You can have 4Gb for R100 in under 10 days.

Now is that a deal or what?!:D
R25 a Gig.

Gig for Gig you won't pay more......hmmm, that reminds me of a very old Checkers Ad!

Now that's tempting. Considering that with the broadband in SA my friends in the UK and USA has been doing this for ages, and they even cover the packaging out of sympathy......

Actually that's sad.

I am going to read a few Yuri Geller books and start downloading by telepathy ...... much cheaper than Telkom.

Sadly, already covered by the Telepathcommunications Act - you can only telepath using Telkom's infrastructure, and it runs at R85/gig - a premium because its faster than copper!

Look at your usage stats, I found a total of 2gig duplicates spaced 1 second apart and claim it back from SAIX.

SAIX is stealing from us as well. The TELKOM genes come out

Stop being abusers - 1gb should be plenty for anyone. Telkom knows whats best for us. Believe in the telkom . . .

I think somebody at telkom read the memo wrong, its not 1gig / month is was suposed to be 1 gig / day :D ;)
