JOHANNESBURG - Bathabile Dlamini is the latest member of Parliament to tender her resignation.
In a written letter to ANC secretary- general Ace Magashule, she said serving the party, as well as the ANC Women's League, was something many South Africans wished for.
Dlamini outlined how her family time was compromised and shared the struggles she endured, particularly her court struggles in the Sassa matter in recent years.
As a result, she decided to resign with immediate effect.
Former Minister of Women in the Presidency failed to make a comeback after the controversy during her term as Social Development Minister.

Ex Zuma minister dropped by Ramaphosa are resigning from parly. Why did they accept nominations in the first place?

patriarchy lives to see another day...
Maybe, but this woman was not exactly supporting the cause of woman.

She's resigned because she's been shunned by CR. If her reasons were valid she wouldn't have stood for Parliament, to begin. If she were appointed a minister I guarantee she would still be here.

tl;dr she's acting like a petulant child, making a scene because she wasn't allowed at the table.

"trash" from the trash (Zuma) era - gods please, let this be the first and last time, that the bottom of the barrel is served up as leadership.

Italics on this forum usually denotes sarcasm.

Her sell by date was before she was born.
Now investigate all her finances because she is as dirty as can be.

She is leaving now to save her pension and perks.
Nothing to see here or celebrate. Trough is empty
Does that mean that she (and other ex-ministers) leaves on an MP salary scale & benefits with associated perks?
