Bathabile Dlamini Resigns as an MP with Immediate Effect

Who is this person again? Oh nevermind - just another useless ex-minister

Just look at all the recent departures from ANC top jobs.
They have all over indulged, feeding at the trough, fat as pigs and now have lots of money to spend the rest of their lives living in luxury on huge pensions.

Lean and mean are two words that don't describe the trash at the top of the ANC.

Italics on this forum usually denotes sarcasm.

You say that, but it's how the thing might appear. But is not BBEEE and cadre deployment not in a similar vein? Oppose it and you'll be labelled a racist, at your own peril?

In this joyous moment, please allow your mind to think that BEE & AAA are worst than holocaust + apartheid + hutu-tutsi massacre + 2 world wars + crusades.. We will let it slide. Enjoy happy thoughts comrade.

Cutting out one tumor doesn't put you into remission ;-)

This POS is just doing what all ex-ministers do when not re-appointed: resign from parliament to protect the ministerial pension. If they don't and remain as an MP, they are only entitled to an MP's pension when they eventually retire which is much less than a minister's pension (calculated from last salary).

Maybe, but this woman was not exactly supporting the cause of woman.

She's resigned because she's been shunned by CR. If her reasons were valid she wouldn't have stood for Parliament, to begin. If she were appointed a minister I guarantee she would still be here.

tl;dr she's acting like a petulant child, making a scene because she wasn't allowed at the table.
They're resigning so they can retire with ministerial benefits instead of those of a normal MP.

Thieving scumbags the lot of them...

Is it not their ministerial pension they are protecting? Or did they lose that once they were sworn in as MPs?
I think they have to do it before the first sitting of parliament. After that they will have to retire as MPs...

Would be fun if there was a ANC Pension Fund that was used as a test run for prescribed investments into all these failed SOE's! Watch how quickly these trough feeders back out of the prescribed investment debacle once it's their hard looted money on the line...
