Does that mean that she (and other ex-ministers) leaves on an MP salary scale & benefits with associated perks?
Is it not their ministerial pension they are protecting? Or did they lose that once they were sworn in as MPs?Too my understanding and the two peeps I’ve spoken too. Yes
Who is this person again? Oh nevermind - just another useless ex-minister

I am very happy that I won't see her face in parliament.
serving the party, as well as the ANC Women's League, was something many South Africans wished for.
In this joyous moment, please allow your mind to think that BEE & AAA are worst than holocaust + apartheid + hutu-tutsi massacre + 2 world wars + crusades.. We will let it slide. Enjoy happy thoughts comrade. You say that, but it's how the thing might appear. But is not BBEEE and cadre deployment not in a similar vein? Oppose it and you'll be labelled a racist, at your own peril?
Probably not, avoid all those on women's day and i'll be home and dry.Won't see her mug on the news, front page of The Star, in public, all of the above?

uBaba's people and their threats, yawwwn...OMG she actually said something along the lines of not wanting the ANC's skeletons aired in the media!
Is that a threat, confession or a bit of both! Time WILL tell...ha

They're resigning so they can retire with ministerial benefits instead of those of a normal MP.Maybe, but this woman was not exactly supporting the cause of woman.
She's resigned because she's been shunned by CR. If her reasons were valid she wouldn't have stood for Parliament, to begin. If she were appointed a minister I guarantee she would still be here.
tl;dr she's acting like a petulant child, making a scene because she wasn't allowed at the table.
I think they have to do it before the first sitting of parliament. After that they will have to retire as MPs...Is it not their ministerial pension they are protecting? Or did they lose that once they were sworn in as MPs?
