Say what u want as long as big companies milk the poor the poor will attack, and you the rich consumer with bright dreams and a lovely future will have to pay the cost, remember you can complain all you want about South Africa but the ANC will never lose an election. Private companies are guilty of milking the poor and creating conditions were crime pays, trust me vodacom won't feel the cost of replacing the batteries, take look at the yearly earnings, if vodacom and mtn can offer cheap calling and data plans maybe the same criminals will rather stream soccer or call the girlfriend instead of stealing the batteries, remember everyone needs an income and these guys are doing what Robin Hood will do steal from the rich, vodacom is over rich!

Well any individual would choose 1 since you want to simplify our country’s problems to two little options.
I think everyones argument from the start was about having integrity and morals so trying to reason as to what type of crime is less wrong than another means we are not really approaching the problem from the same level.

Look im in no way supporting these criminals, but i dont seem to understand why nobody accuses vodacom of a crime when they charge people R149 a gig, but now because someone is stealing from them its ruffling everyone's feathers. Think about it, today when you get home your family will be safe and your items not stolen because the criminals are stealing vodacraps batteries, dont worry about vodacrap they can replace batteries for years to come over and over, be glad the same criminals are not inside your house when you get home!

Mtn and vodacom never did anything about crime rate in South Africa, these 2 company's make billions in profit, they are in a position to invest in community policing, cameras, armed guards in high crime areas, but do you think any of theses networks care if your property is stolen?
So if you see a person stealing batteries turn the other cheek and be glad those criminals are not breaking into your house or hi jacking you, unless you the lucky one that gets call from vodascum and mtn crap asking how u doing, batteries can be replaced over and over human life cannot

Sorry to break it to you but public safety is the responsibility of government who receive billions in taxes from these companies - your frustration is misplaced. And yes, if your company is the target of criminals and you have to spend 'x' to counter such activity then that cost is passed onto whoever consumes your products or services - that's how business works - the consumer always pays. The cost of the batteries and damage done in criminality will be passed onto you.
