Battlefield 2

i managed to be in a squad with Toxin (McJunk) and The Saint... hectic firefights on a few maps we had... good fun!

ROFL!.. there's plenty of life after BF2... FEAR, DS2, DoW:WA and soon Q4 & CoD2... :D
 
/stoke oficially declares the death of McJunk.
This is confusing the heck out of everybody, so i'm going to play my namesake again, and kill McJunk.
/stoke declares the return of stoke to BF2.
 
I am sitting on a 192k conn. -> is it worth even thinking of tyrying to play BF2 on a SA server?

Thjis game looks like a 512k or more candidate.

Super cool game by the way.

yip. i play on ISDN 128 and its fine! ;)
 
remember gaming isnt about bandwidth its about latency

192 will run it without a problem

why ppl pay for 1mbit line is beyond me
 
So - I was walking [ran out of run] down next to a wall when this foot appeared in the wall - wait for the TAG - wait for the TAG - nothing - so I shot it once with me AT Shotgun and it stopped wiggling but stayed there.

Then - Clear - pfhweeep.

The foot starts wiggling - so I shot it again.

Then - Clear - pfhweeep.

The foot starts wiggling - so I shot it again.

Then - Clear - pfhweeep.

The foot starts wiggling - so I shot it again grinning from ear to ear.

Then - Clear - pfhweeep, and in CAPS in the message space you see - STOPPIT DAMNIT @#@#$#$ ! So I stopped - but man it was funny - he probably blasted that medic back to yesterday.

I cannot remember who it was - but it was soooooo funny.
 
Okay, so if 192k is fine

OK, so if it's cool at 192k, i just need to get a headset/mic and a server to play on.

Where do you guys play, any specifc server, and will i need the password to join a game...

I don't have a team yet, I got the game from a friend who was unable to run it on his laptop (the laptop is great, but it's no gaming machine:( ) -> any suggestions?
 
join up with the 32 player servers ( 196.4.79.31 i think ). no password. just be sure to patch up your game to 1.03 before you join and get Xfire to check out who is playing on which servers.

from my head :

196.4.79.31
196.4.79.26
196.4.79.20

i stand to be corrected but these are the servers from SGS that i know of.

And Xfire keeps track of all this stuff... BONUS!

I will fire it up tonight and see what I can do - I actually have some work to do.... but all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.... or a BORING DUMBASS!
 
First - NEVER EVER CLICK ON PLAY ONLINE NOW [Bottom right hand corner].

Start the game - register a username - play a singleplayer mission and sort out the graphics settings and mouse sensitivity and network mode and the other options.

Then :
Click on Multiplayer.
Click Stop Update.
Type in -= SGS in the server name filter.
Press Enter.
5 servers should show.

Click on them one at a time and click on add to favourites.

Double click on a server to start the game.
Again - NEVER EVER CLICK ON PLAY ONLINE NOW [Bottom right hand corner].

Next time - after clicking on Multiplayer, click on favourites.

Easy peezie - c u online ....
