Battlefield 2

it helps to have a fast system coz on any first round on a map spawning 5th helps in selecting a spawn point with a collection of vehicles... and if you usually take a tank/apc and you get blown up just try to spawn in the same spot where such vehicle exists. rinse and repeat if possible...

well what i do is never spawn any where but close to action unless i c a tank then spawn then its gone then im stuffed kinda thing

but thats on a rare occasion

since i am an armour freak i tend to rely on tanks/apcs... but maps like Karkand are deathtraps for armor... C4 and AT are your worst enemies plus the chance your shell or tracks are going to nab some poor team mate in all the mess that the fight is in... but to defend the bridge for the top section of the map its vital to have armor...

Thanks WiseCrack.

I do Like killa doob I do do, doh :)

Kubra Dam is just a b!tch because in order to get anywhere you have to follow the roads, which leaves everything exposed. It reminds of of "Gazala", I think, in bf1942.

Yea - you need the tank at one end of the bridge, and just behing the tank, a mechanic in a humvee to repair you automatically. Never managed to get that right though - c4 is horrendus stuff.

Man did I have a good time bombing the crap out of Daqing Oilfields yesterday. Not thx to my skillz though, in fact it seemed as if the chinese team lined the tanks up for me to do some target practice. :D

On more than four occasions I bombed like 3/4 tanks capturing one flag... amazing.
Sometimes they were even in a straight line. I dont know how I could forget to take a screenshot

I was raking in the kills like you wont believe, until someone enemy decided to challenge me with the fighter jet. Hard to get away from the fighter jets :o

And the last couple of rides I had with chopper pilots were mostly "watch out for that tree" material like in the George of the Jungle movie.

:D You wouldn't perhaps have been in a chopper with me then eh?

lol... guys... its so silly to actually crash a chopper into the actual flag you are capturing... i never fly but i've seen pilots do that... its worth a nice giggle... and i suppose the chopper pilot spams excuses since he's suffers the TK act of it... :D

its actually easy to avoid another plane

all you do is wait till you hear lock on sound put thrusters and turn sharply the reason to get rip of hit missile then you twist and turn fly fly low just go nutz will soon up

i dont chase enemy planes if there is a good pilot i just see if i take it when my missiles are gone i leave

Oh man, last night i spwan into my base, as i do this it gets taken, so i look around and see a tank taking it, so i run up and are laying c4 all along the side when suddenly i get team killed, i think "arrggghhh", anyway, so the camera changes angle and i can see my team that killed me "ghastlymaverick" , well he's sitting then with anti tank and obviously hit me with it, the tanks still going strong, so i watch as he lines up for a second shot at the tank, however he's lying on the stairs of a building and instead of hitting the tank, he hits the bannister of the stairs right infron of him killing himself! I laughed

the dude in the tank must of thought we are the biggest idiots out there

That name seems to ring a bell . ..

I've had the same thing a couple of times. So do you TKp or not? He's obviously aiming for the tank, but considering you're in Line of sight (and pack more punch with C4 than a rocket) Shouldn't he hold of for a bit?

Sheesh - you blokes are completely missing the point of tk punishing.
Remember in BF1942, you're both running towards a plane/tank, so the bloke behind you shoots you dead.
That's blatent team killing, and that should be punished, not some bloke accidentally shooting you while trying to shoot a tank.
Sheesh.

Sure - if he does it again, punish im.

Fair comment but in the tank/C4/rocket situation, the guy is
a. Kill stealing
b. Showing little regard for his teammates
b. Blatantly shooting you in the back just to score

Isn't that also worth punishing?

a : Kill stealing ? I was under the impression that he was defending the flag and trying not to get shot by a tank while hiding, reloading, popping up, shooting, hiding, reloading ...
b: The bloke pops up - right clicks to get the aim up, shoots, ducks - all in less than .5 seconds, then sees that he killed a teamie.
c: Then he does not want that to happen again, so he does not do the aim thing the next time he shoots, just tries to angle the waepon right, but it does not work and he blows himself up. Where was the blatant shot in the back ?

You're more guilty than he is, he was warring with the tank and would probablee have wiped the tank out before you came along and got in the way.

But - neways - it's not polite to punish without knowing that there is foul play. But repeat stupidity must also be punished.

well a couple of things

1. i did not punish, i know how very dangerous it is sitting next an emeny tank, any thing can happen, i have often layed c4 on a tank run off to blow it up only to have a teamy laying c4 on the other side of it when it goes up!

2. he could clearly see me, he wasn't behind a wall, it was that thin little railing on the stairs.

3. if i just spawn into a base and there is a tank and i run up to c4 it, i'm not looking around to see if anyone else just spawned in, i'm looking at the damn tank that im standing next to , to make sure he hasn't seen me!

anyway, i laughed, i thought the whole situation was funny!

Yea - okay - i'm just a little on edge cos of being punished so damn often for honest mistakes, one of which was verry similar to what happened to you.

Me appreciates the fact that you did not punish im, and me apologises for preaching to the converted.

NEWAYZ - Have you noticed how difficult it's getting to ride-over people (lying down) in a HumVee.
They seem to have learnt to wiggle between the wheels quite effectively.

I was driving a humvee fullup with squaddies, saw this bloke lying in the middle of the road, of course - ride stright for him, as we go over him - boooooom - c4. All dead. He/she gets good points and I feel stupid. LOL.
