How does one earn command points? I tried my hand at commander a couple of times when nobody else stepped forward, but I am still a bit confused on some aspects that are not described in the game manual.

Well the best theory put foward (which I think is the most accurate one) is that the commander score is the average of the whole team's score...and if the teams wins, obviously X2.

What A Good Weekend i hope that youall had lots of fun playing this week is starting gr8 the sun is shinning and the birds are singing and all is fine
till some snipper take you out 15 times and you can find him and spend the rest of the week thinking.
Where was he hiding?
 
Doh. My apologies to my team for Saturdays TK session.

Sharqi Peninsula - slapped C4 on an enemy APC, but I think there were a few too many teammates in the cramped street. I went from ~10 points to -8, with the simple flick of a switch. :$

Thanks to those for not TK punishing.

**** HAPPENS
 
I got PTK'd twice in Friday night's session. Damn noobs.
Not my fault if some jerk runs into the street where I'm driving my APC.

The damn things don't stop on a dime.
 
I also did the C4 thing on Sunday and did not realize some of my team was getting very close (maybe because I was running away so that I could push the button). I team damaged a bunch of people, but fortunately nobody died. It was still a huge dent in my score, which I never really recovered from that round.

I do not mind so much getting punished by the new guys. What makes me unhappy is when I get punished by a veteran (the people who think they own the game) for things like jumping in front of tanks.
 
The worst is, i blow up an enemy tank/apc... and when it explodes a few seconds later, teamies get killed. luckily, i was only punished a few times..

I think when you give orders and they are followed\accepted, you get points.
 
had some fun while waiting for the 32 player server to fill up.

off-the-chart, int13, majorping and some other blokes were checking to see how high we could blow ourselves with C4...

recipe for instant flight:
1) 5 packs of c4 placed in close proximity to each other
2) yourself or other teamie to stand ontop of piled c4
3) jump in air
4) when on highest point of jump, flick switch
5) WEEEEEEEE! :D

as i understand it, points do not count until the player requirement (10 players) have been met, otherwise i will be demoted to private again...

That's correct. The game hasn't started yet, so you can do whatever you want.
It's a good time to practice flying, fwiw. ;)
 
anybody watched the "stunts of oman" video? or the "stunts regeneration" they get those vehicles to ramp across the whole map , with explosives it looks like, but does anybody know how they are actually doing it
 
apparently, you create your own unranked server and change settings to disallow team damage to vehicles and teamies, or something like that.

the result? vehicles dont explode with your teamies' C4. and TADA! Flying tank incoming!! imaging getting a shot or two in while in flight and actually killing people!

that's clever! was wondering about that
 
ahhh, it would be handy for grabbing flags at the beginnig of a round, after the first few seconds all you would see is tanks and jeeps and apc's flying through the air and ppl jumping out and parachuting to the ground! i must try this at home!
