Geek, that's all your fault when you send an open invitation for clan members and someone like me applies !!!!

I got a bit of sleep last night, so I reckon I'll be able to play tonight without my forehead slamming into my keyboard. :D

I'll probably play a bit of F.E.A.R. beforehand, so if I seem a little jumpy, you'll know why. :)
 
I don't need F.E.A.R to get jumpy, I get jumpy just clearing corners in BF2!

I was trying to get my basic Explosives Ordinance badge last night by loading C4 onto a buggy and kamikazi-ing armoured vehicles. I succeeded in the second round that I tried - and I ended up getting my basic transport as well :p

I must have really annoyed the hell out of some people tho ;) I killed the same people several times while doing it.

I also developed a new technique (for me anyway) - the flying bomb - I loaded up a blackhawk with C4, flew to a nearby enemy base, hovered over some guys, switched to F6 and blew the C4.

Works quite well :)

I also noticed that it is far more effective, score wise, to remain in your vehicle when you kamikazi. If you hop out and still get killed by your explosion you will lose more points.
 
Yeah I found that. If you bail you get penalized for suicide via the C4. If you stay in it's recorded as a kill for the guy you take out, but at least no penalty. You'd probably die anyway.

Had odd games last night on II, I guess I may have just been in the wrong squad, but we just couldn't seem to get it together. When I finally did, my squaddies kept diving on my flipping grenades. I did get a deserved TKp - one of those "the bad guys standing behind me" situations.

Sorted out the join last night, I'm now officially a WrG!
 
I was having a good time on server IV, tho it really sucked when I joined initially. I swear I got killed 10 times before I managed to get away to cause some havoc.

Server III has apparently been fixed now, so I'll be back there tonight.
Gonna go for my basic pistol and basic knife badges. And then there's basic sniper to get still too... but I really suck at sniping. ;)

Play commander while wearing you sniper suite. That is how I got my sniper badge - with Arty kills. Sad, but what can one do. ;)

Ahh yeah. Didn't think of that one. Considering I got a lot of my other badges that way, doh.

I need the sniper practise tho. ;) According to my stats, I've got 28 kills with the sniper rifle. Don't know how the heck I managed that.

Must be a bug! :p

Well no more driving around with you in a buggy....sounds like you are making taxis sound very safe ;)
 
uh oh.. i dislike kamikaze dudes with a passion... but doobiwan... got a gap for a useless guy to join your clan? :p

As far as the sniper badge goes, the other trick was to grab armour and get your kills that way. Personally I think it's bad form :p

For sniping you need a good map - Karkand or Sharqi are great for sniping, Mashtuurs not bad either. I got it on Sharqi. Use the claymores, to protect your stairs. Pick a spot where you can snipe the sniping spots . . .
 
maybe get a support dude to cover and resupply you at the same time...

Goodnews after freakin exams im getting BF2 so can play online, cant wait! only one more week.
I hope it is as fun as it was when i was playing the demo
