Battlefield 2

We're getting it off to a slow start

Paper-Cut is back online, hes trying to get 1942 started again. Will definitely join him if there peeps. In fact, I played last night, server got up to 6 players on battelaxe :) Was fantastic fun :D

havent had much time to play either to be honest

im going to play alot this weekend though but only on the urban server :)

Does anyone know if NAG will release the 1.41 patch for BF2 on their dvd next month?? If not then I will try post to them. Just want to know because I don't want to chew up more than 1/6th of my basic cap in one day.

Im very disappointed they didn't make an incremental version do they want to upset all the BF2 players or what. This means everyone has to re-install the game and get back all their settings and details etc.
 
No... you don't need to reinstall the game. Just apply the full patch on your current version.

Also - they DID make an incremental, but they stuffed it up, so held it back.
 
oh ok thats good....now just gotta justify chewing so much of my cap in one day :( See Telkom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 gigs is f'all these days. :p
 
Banned for TK'ing - But I did Not.

Can someone help a brother out here please?

Whenever I try to join a game i am told that I have been banned for excessive tk'ing.

I think it's a mistake as i played medic and a little engineer yesterday, but did not tk excessively. I quit the game when i was done and now get this when i want to log in - the same goes for all the online accounts on this pc of mine.

Any pearls of wisdom boys & girls? The help would be greatly appreciated.

hmmm checkon sgs website if you have been banned

if this is not the case then im not sure because all your account work off 1 cd key, if thats been banned none of them will work

did you ever swear in open chat?

go buy a new bf 2 game 70 bucks or something and see if it helps
 
The 550mb+/- download was a bit of a ball ache, but well worth it instead of yet another patch methinks. Considering the amount of times i've had to reinstall bf2 due to windows being such an excellent and stable operating system, it actually makes it easier now to install bf2 and just run 1 patch instead of each and every incremental one.

Even if they did have a 1.41 incremental i think its generally a good idea to pull a full update once in a while for exactly this reason. thumbs up to the gaming mags for releasing it on their cds, works out cheaper for everyone and it motivates gamers to buy their mags.

now all we need is for them to release all the haxx so that we can level the playing fields a bit with those script kiddies :D
 
Problems with BF2.. im new :(

hey guys i dunno how n where to post this, plz help me im new here n i have a few questions about BF2.

How much cap does it take to play? i have 2gig cap from mweb each month.
and how do you play on a "ranked bf server"?? i want to earn the points n badges n stuff but when im done playing i go to BFHQ and the badges is still empty and everything is still zero... ?

lol i jus started playin bf2 online. plz help me :)
