I recently bought Battlefield 2142: Deluxe Edition and to my amazement found yet another sad story.

_Firstly_
I had to register for an EA account and register the game - Fine i get this bla bla...
After registering and creating my account I tried logging into my game but nothing worked, it did not see my account for some %$# reason. I created yet another account and funny enough the master server saw the user name but said incorrect password for it. I double checked again but nothing worked....3 days passed I eventually found the patients to try again, I came across a site on the net that explained to me you have to create a new classic persona on your account for CLASSIC EA GAMES....WTF again.

Finally it logged in just to find that I cant see any servers running. GUN- - - - - -> me:mad:

Downloaded a patch 1.50 waited 2 days for it and now I can see servers...and again got kicked because of PUNKBUSTER!!: BAZOOKA=== === ==me:twisted::twisted:

Dowloaded punkbuster but still i get PUNKBUSTER message when trying to play on any servers..

PLEASE ANYONE!!!!!!!!! HELP A FELLOW GAMER OUT......OR IM GOING TO PIRATE THIS GAME WITH ALL THE FIXES ALREADY IN PLACE...lol:cry:

I mean really COME ON!!!! havent even played 1 map in a week...Whats the use in buying games:sick:
 
When you connect to a server, press the ~ key to bring down the console, and type: pb_security 0

That sometimes helps as well.
 
Isn't this game dead? loaded it up a few times to find servers empty.
 
I've been playing it regularly for the last month. Normally about 12 people playing in the evenings.
