They have more camo than the standard ones. Or so I'm left to believe. That is why I chose that SE instead of the weapons one. I will be soooo pissed if I stand out like a sore thumb
Is there anywhere I can buy the game over the counter on Friday? Or can I still pre-order again and pick it up somewhere?
I did pre-order on Origin, but the client is does not handle retarts, if say internet conn drops (using 3G btw, as telkom cables stolen, again) - it keeps deleting progress downloaded and starts dowloading from scratch.

Makes sure to select the SE one which goes for the same price as the normal one.
SE comes with added skins.
Spoke to Takealot.co.za , they say they try to get it a day before the release date so that they can deliver to customers on the day of release. I would like to believe them - and seeing as their warehouse is in CT, I cannot even do a pickup.
Anyone had any experiences with them on pre-orders and getting it on the release date in Joburg/PTA?

I deal with couriers ALLOT. And if they get it by the 27th like all retailers do, getting it by Friday should be a breeze. I need it by Friday since I've put my work address as a delivery address. If not I can only get it by Monday...
If that's the case I'll just get a copy from a BTgames on the weekend and cancel my Pre-order on Monday and send the copy back. I can't not be playing BF3 this weekend

I just came across BT games now, doing an internet search - seeing as they are located in joburg i will do the pre-order via them

I only buy my games from take2/takealot and everytime i have pre-ordered a game it has always come on the release day. I live in Durban so they usually dispatch it the day before and it arrives by noon of the release day.
hmmm...now who do I go with?

I do have BFBC2... you just got me so excited Pitbull!
Sorry to disappoint but BF3 does not use the same game engine as BFBC2. BF3 uses Frostbite 2, the upgrade to Frostbite (used for BC2).
