Hacks are such BS! I also can't believe people also spend $20 a month on them. I would rather buy a case of beer :D
 
It seems hackers are becoming more of an issue by the day. This is a vid that a local guy recorded on fraps and you can easily see why it would ruin one's day.

I was playing a game last nite and 4 hackers joined. We were on gulf of oman. They just sat at the spawn and proceeded to kill everyone. I was inside an LAV, and got killed with 1 hit from a lmg!!

So everyone went mad and the hackers left, except one guy. A few minutes later, 2 other hackers join on the other team, and start hunting down the one hacker who was still on the server. They politely informed us that they are simply here to kill this other hacker. Its ridiculous!! International cheaters playing hide and seek with each other on our servers.

And as usual, no admins to do anything, and no ping limiter in place.
 
all s.a server should have fix in place to auto kick players above 200 ping, not sure why they not doing it that should kick the hackers without admin being around before they get 115 kills :/

There is way to much hackers on sgs servers , can hardly play 1 round without a hacker being around.

I'm of the opinion that servers should have a k/d kicker as some international servers do. Most hackers have ridiculous kd's. If there was say an 8 kd limit you would get kicked if you reached it. Now obviously on the odd occasion a good player does get a high kd like 8 (or higher) but I think having a non-hacker kicked once in a blue moon while hackers get kicked constantly is alright by me.

Yep. Clan servers usually have admins on who kick players immediately for hacking and exploits. The MWEB/SGS servers as usual have no admins.

The scary thing is how many players play daily with hacks but use them sporadically. I reckon there are a huge number of players who do well that use hacks occasionally to boost their score to look normal. The hackers are ruining this game :(

You are definitely thinking outside the box! I'll give you that. But to kick someone who gets an 8 kill streak (one combat efficiency ribbon) is the most stupid thing ever. I have two guys in my clan (maybe 3) that will do 20/30/40-0 on the odd occasions by using tanks and choppers etc. Why should they get kicked? To get your second combat efficiency ribbon you need an additional 3 kills so assuming he didn't get kicked after 8, then on 11, 14, 17,20? You don't get the ribbon untill you have a 8 kill streak!

I agree that we need to get rid of these hackers, and the sooner the better, but guys, there are a number of 'admins' on sgs, so maybe we all add one or two as friends in battlelog and request that they check if and when there are problems.

A ping limiter would also be great, but it would need to be at about 300 imo as we have a lot of players who still use 384 lines. That coupled with teamspeak3 and they will have plenty of latency issues...

Otherwise, the best would be to simply not spawn. That way the hackers kill pool would dry up.

A KPM would be much better, i.e. if you go over 7 KPM (kills per minute) then you get kicked.

Dunno about that hey, on metro usasing, tubing and nading can get you 7 kills a minute :D.

I think perhaps just having admins around would work. Sgs has about 30-40 admins of which none are ever online sadly. Granted it is the holidays.

I may just stick to clan servers for now because they are bound to have admins.

Not a kill streak, a kd ratio. 8 is just an example and could be changed with higher numbers. You may think it is retarded, but I've chatted with a few overseas players who run multiple servers and they've said this has removed hackers from their servers. Clearly over there it's GAMEPLAY>STATS.

As for kill streaks, even I with a KD ratio of 0.7 got 14-0 over the weekend as the gunner on the attack chopper. (The pilot was awesome). Would have been pissed if I got kicked for that.
 
Country kicker + ping kicker should do the trick on most servers. Then we'll find out who the local hackers are :twisted:

This. I was also a gunner for a FANTASTIC pilot (Stuka88), I was racking up kills left, right and center. So K:D ratio is dumb, because people can go 15-0, 20-10, etc if they using vehicles.

The thing I like about KPM is, even very good players don't kill someone every 10 seconds (except on metro).

A: by not dying and killing enemies. 8 or more to be precise

So now we would be kicking players who are good and don't die because they are sniping or have cat like reflexes?

The kills per minute would definitely be better as it is tough to get 7 or more kills per minute. But as killa said, on operation metro it is possible with grenade/m320/ rpg spam... I got a quad kill with one frag last night and a bunch of assists. The best would be to have an admin on. All these other techniques are floored in one way or another.

Whatever it is, we need it done asap!
 
Naaa go read the sgs forums, they are on all the busy sgs servers. No admins = hacker delight :p

Yeah. At the moment I can only play on wage, sgs and igame. Mweb ping is 160-220 and I don't enjoy playing at thos pings. I guess my isp hasn't sorted its issues with mweb yet :/

I'm chasing up with them as we speak... Hopefully tonight I will see them all in green :)

Untill then, I'll play the sgs/ wage servers. Just going to have to hope the hackers join my team so I don't get fsked up! :p

Technically, it is undefined. The limit is infinite. :p

I don't think kicking for kd ratio would work either. I would be very annoyed if I was on an awesome run and got kicked for it. I think KPM is the best way to go for when admins are not on the server. Those hackers rack up kills really quickly on the Metro 64 servers.

In the comments on the submitted article, crash (one of the devs) say that DICE are working on a way to stop, or curb the hackers. Lets hope whatever they do works!
