This is such BS. I'm paying R600 a month for my telkom moblile LTE with the hopes I won't have any issues playing in the Do Gaming League. Guess I was wrong. If this doesn't get solved within 1month I would like a refund of all the money I've wasted and I'll just go back to Cell C or Vodacom. The only reason I got it was to be able to play battlefield 4. My team is going to kick me if I can't sort out my Network problems soon. I have to play on MTN 3G since it is all I have at the moment with a ping of 100+ and constant spikes.

Telkom Please sort this out! 6 Months already and still having the same issues. Open up the PORTS already!!

Regards

Well LTE is still a new Tech, i must say i have plenty of online games, like say 20, and they all work 10000%, so we cant just be blaming telkom, its DICE and EA thats sucks at making games to work. It would be nice how ever to speed up the process to get the LTE to work on BF4, i paid so much for the broken game :'(

Doesn't help to complain on this forum. If you want some kind of a response complain on HelloPeter. Here we just get told another **** story once a month. So tired of this ****. 3rd expansion is on it's way already - one word! RIDICILOUS!

It is not EA nor DICE. And 8ta's 3G also doesn't work. DICE is allowed to use those ports that 8ta is blocking and won't tell us why. So I blame 8ta 100% for this.

Another week gone by, another week no further feedback. I have to reboot my router to renew my IP to be able to join a server that kicked me.

Can you believe that south africa voted telkom to be the best Mobile Telko in South Africa? i am pretty sure it is rigged, because we are like 100 dudes here not very happy at the moment lol :p

I find that if you quit bf4 during the count down to the next map, you can reconnect to the same server immediately,
not much better, but something i suppose :(

Wish they'd get this damn irritating problem sorted out.

Yes i know i do the same, but some times i forget to quit then i have to reboot the router. The only thing that happens when you reboot a router is that you obtain a new Public ip from the Telkom Public NAT IP pool. So that means that some thing on telkom's side is crewed up, i dont know what equipment they are using, it was usally Siemans, i wish they would start using Cisco like the rest of the freaken world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The funny thing is, I'm almost never able to play on the telkom servers, i mean common, they are on your network :/

Needless to say, another very frustrating gaming weekend :(

I wonder if i can cancel the contract with no penalties, because what is the use to have a service that doesn't work for a simple task?

And yet Telkom ADSL users seems to have no problems. Hmmm, very interesting...

Guys i have tried everything for a month now, Telkom just don't care about a few hundred gamers having issues. Fortunately There are standards, rules and regulations, and the consumer act.

I will get my lawyer to draw up the documents and Telkom will have to cancel my contract because they imply that LTE is a internet service yet it does not function like any of the other connections in the world. They may not block us or regulate our connections unless the law states so. They may not charge us for a broadband 4G connection that does not function according to the standards.

I have no clue how to communicate with telkom mobile management and i work with telkom every day.

I give up :'(

Seems like every one else gave up too :)

No, please, don’t give up! Keep this threat alive.

What is this so hard and problematic? Is this just a matter of opening few ports or perhaps some network infrastructure and/or security issue?

Telkom Mobile, could you give us some indication without, of course, jeopardizing your internal confidentiality?

I'm patiently waiting for the Telkom reps feedback, waiting.... and waiting.... (sigh) and waiting....

I realize its not his fault, hes probably also waiting for feedback but jeez this is painful.

Latest on my ticket, i have Facebook posts pending, my broadband posts pending, 2 hello peters pending, and 2 telkom mail trails that i follow up every day. Am i the South african LTE support Engineer? :p

Good day

Please note that the query is still with our Network Department and at this stage they are the only people that will provide you with feedback.

Final feedback will be provided as soon as the matter is resolved. Your reference number is 7751192.

We apologize for the delay.

I think this is the best idea to date. We are clearly going nowhere.
