Why is it that there are now only a couple of servers that are still populated? Last year this time the ZA scene was absolutely pumping.

Lockers is bloody boring and the favourite. BF4 is getting old, BF1 soon ...

Yeah, I can't stand that map anymore. It's too CoD for me. In BF3 it was Metro and BF4 was Lockers. They're only good for farming XP.

I hope BF1 won't include a map like that.

Played primarily that map. Great Map actually if you get to dominate the rest. These days I don't play BF4 anymore.

Indeed. Vehicles and large maps are why I play Battlefield. For everything else there's Counter-Strike.

Is anyone else having issues with Mantle? It makes my game crash during loading. Used to run fine and it made a big difference on my frames.

So maybe this is very late in the game and maybe answered before, but...

WTF! Why does this game launch from a web browser? This is literally the worst gaming decision I think I have ever experienced.

More importantly though, if I choose to Connect to Server, or even to play the campaign, it stays on the web page buyt loads the game in the background. But I cannot Alt-Tab to the game successfully.

Firstly it opens in a window. Secondly, when I switch to it I simply get the music, plus a black window that flickers.

Seems it's unable to leave the webpage and open the damn game.

Anyone else had this issue?

Nope, launches fine for me. It opens in the background and loads the map first. Once done loading the map, it opens the game.

I had that issue after many months of it opening perfectly through Battlelog, I think you need to download something called BF4WebHelper or something like that, which launches the game properly. I did that years ago though, it used to just need a plugin update but they don't use that anymore

Too much politics and clannies for me
Stopped playing ages ago. Wreck the clannies and you get kicked. Take down the guy on a crazy streak with a dirty tactic and you get kicked. Meh.

Late reply to you yeah the admins are the clannies. Uninstalled ages ago and only on bf1 now.

Haven't really had trouble finding active games but there aren't too many options for different maps, mostly Siege of Shanghai but I don't mind it's a cool map. Play it on both PC and PS4 from time to time, though I'm absolutely terrible at it.

Anyone have issues with BF4 and BF1 servers having super high ping for SA servers? My ping in other games is fine, and to other servers its normal, all SA servers have trash ping for some reason. Any idea why?

Sounds like an ISP issue locally. I had that before, switching accounts did the trick. You can pick up a 1gb pre paid account for peanuts to see if that works.

Make sure it's from a different isp

I seem to be having the same problem... I have a fibre connection with WebAfrica in Cape Town.
