BB 9900 & Vodacom. When?

Sheesh. U guys can hound occie to death right? He said he will put the thing in his sticky when he gets it. ..... Erm....wait. That didn't come out right :)
 
I know this thread is about the 9900,but any news about the 9810 release in SA?
 
So.... I wrote on Vodacoms wall on FB and they told me that the different Vodacom shops would have different launch prices :erm:

Dont worry...I will make sure our branches have got bulk Vaseline tubs handy for you guys. And if you buy two we will upgrade you to KY for FREE!!!! Now you just can not beat that! :-)

Seriously though....the reason why they might have said that is because when we start a new deal run we are sent pricelists with the RRP for prepaid phones. Since this phone is being released in the middle of a run they might not know if Vodacom will be sending us a new list with the RRP with the new models released on it and therefore can not predict what price the different stores will be using. Our branches uses the recommended % mark up as per Vodacom but I can not speak for other shops. Lets wait and see what happens when the phone actually becomes available.

No need to have sleepless nights yet about me chasing you guys with a BB 9900 in one hand and a tube of KY in the other mmmkay? :-)

ocleroux could you give the estimated cost of a Weekender package (@135p/m) the pay-in of the device, aswell as on a top-up 200s please would be nice to see as those are the two contracts im on now

Weekender - R3,899.00
Top Up 200 - R4,469.00

The above are estimates for now.

My upgrade with VC is due 14 September. I always make the mistake of rushing to get the latest phone and paying in for it. By Christmas, the same phone on the same upgrade is often offered with a cash voucher instead of a pay in or just straight upgrade, no pay in, no voucher. As much as I want the 9900 NOW, I think this time I'll wait for the Christmas specials.
