Hi guys. This is just a short hands-on comparison by myself. Apple fanboys, please, this is personal taste, I'm not saying the iPhone is not good.

1. Battery life = Here I think the iPhone is better

I must say, I use the Blackberry more than I've ever used the iPhone.

2. Call quality = Both excellent

People who say the BB speaker is too soft, not true.

3. Internet connectivity = Blackberry definately

I get 3G coverage at places the iPhone totally loose coverage. Not more EDGE only or drop calls

4. Multimedia = We all know the iPhone is excellent when it come to multimedia

But, don't think the Torch can't handle it. Movies, photos, music. All so quickly and smooth.

5. Touch Screen = The iPhone win by a small margin

You can't compare the Storm 1/2 with the Torch. The Torch is so close to the iPhone that I didn't really wanted to choose a winner here.

6. Phone speed = Who said the 624mhz is slow???

Ok, the iPhone 3GS only have 600mhz but hey, I'm comparing these two, not the iPhone 4. I prefer the Torch here. The OS is really smooth and doesn't acquire a full reboot every week like the Curve 8900.

7. Text input = I must say the Torch is definately the best here.

I can count on my one hand how many times I've used the on screen keyboard since I got my Torch last week.

8. Camera (Still and Video) = The Torch for sure.

Don't have to say why. Or do I?

9. Multitasking = No other phone multitask like the Torch. Not even iOS4.1

If you want more info on anything else let me know.

I don't think any other device work as easy as the Torch. Everything can be done twice as fast by combining the use of the touch screen and the hardware keyboard.

Regarding 2, they're speaking of the external speaker for ringing, playing MP3s or speaker phone calls. Although I've never had an iPhone - I've had a BB Bold and this is my 2nd BB Torch. I do really believe the speaker is a) softer and b) inferior quality.

There was someone on Crackberry that said he can't hear people clearly when making or receiving calls. I was referring to that.

My speaker when on calls is very soft...and it annoys me..

The touch screen is great, and dont think i have used the slide out keyboard much.

Go to Options -> Call Management -> Hearing Aid Mode.

I don't know what it does though.

I have pretty much tried any option with regards to volume, boosting, hearing etc
The volume is still pretty low, i am however returning it today for an OOB due to the trackpad not working

What does OOB stand for? :/

I admit that the Torch is not perfect, but it almost is. I played with a friend's iPhone this weekend and someone else on the forum had summed it up perfectly before. My apologies that I cannot remembre who it was, but he in essensce said that the iPhone is a geat toy, but you will be playing with the BB a long time after you have put the iPhone down. I have only had the Torch for two weeks, but cannot think how I have ever done without it.

@ Piesang - +1 for the comparison

It sounds like something I would've said. lol

Really? I've heard the iPhone is really heavy on battery.

I have a iPhone 3G and a Bold 9000 so I'd be happy with either of them right about now. :o

It really is best of both worlds.

iPhone = Best for Entertainment
Blackberry = Best for Business
I know but my Bold repeatedly suffers from SBS so it's constantly being sent in. :o
