Eek, BBD uses Flash and haven't updated their site in more than a year.

They develop a lot of systems in house to support the game dev apparently. What would the main differences be? They both produce computer programs at the end of the day. And what doesn't your gf's brother not like about Derivco? I don't work there though I know plenty who do and they all seem happier than pigs in ****.

One is a software house the other is not, that is the difference. You may see it as just writing "computer programs", but once you have developed these "computer programs" you just go into maintenance mode. And yes you are right, there are people happy as pigs in ****, he is not one of them.

not sure I agree with that statement (Disclaimer - I left Derivco several months ago). they are regularly writing new systems and they have new games every single month on Desktop and mobile.

is there over time done? yes, of course, a deadline needs to be made.

but the perks. there is just so many to go on about. i'm actually regretting that I relocated to cape town.

Yeah writing games. You mean stringing together configuration files.
