BBM for Android and iPhone: how it will work

I have absolutely no use for BBM on my Android device. Everybody I know, with Crapberry's, already uses Whatsapp.

Oh, so they want an email address ? note to self....just open another new free gmail account for this. No ways I will give them any of my personal email address's. If my account gets flooded with junk advertising, then I will just delete the account. Maybe this is how they will recoup their expense ? sell email information ?

Not gonna hurt to try it. It's free, so what's the harm?

I'm also going to give it a spin. I despise having my mobile IM linked to my cellphone number (though I concede I'm probably one of the few).

Should've done this 2-3 years ago.. Whatsapp has pretty much dominated, even amongst BB users - the few that I know who are still on BB at least.

thing is with whatsapp once your 1 year free trial is over you got to pay R7 or R8 cant remember it is not much but it then becomes a paying service where BBM will be free.

I'm hoping so....

But I'm also wondering what will happen if you are still actively using that login on a Blackberry ?

Don't think you can have the same ID on both devices active, when i upgraded to a z10 from a torch i tried to do this bit did not work.

Why should I install this when BB users can install Whatsapp?

Without trying to sound snarky the BB version of whatsapp is horrible.

Its a big drainer of battery and memory, I have heard its better on ios/android.

Personally I can't wait, going to uninstall whatsapp as soon as I can.

Haha, I think MyBB want to revise the Article....

BBM for Android and iPhone features:
BBM Chat – Enjoy real, immediate conversations with friends on Android, iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones. Not only does BBM let you know that your message has been delivered and read, it also shows you that your friend is responding to the message.

More than chat – With BBM you can share files on your phone such as photos and voice notes, all in an instant.

Keep your group in the loop – Multi-person chats are a great way to invite contacts to chat together. BBM Groups lets you invite up to 30 friends to chat together, and go a step further than multi-chat by sharing photos and schedules. And, with Broadcast Message, you can send a message out to all your BBM contacts at once.

Post Updates and stay in the know – BBM lets you post a personal message, profile picture and your current status, and lets your contacts know instantly in Updates.

Your unique PIN – Every BBM user has a unique PIN that maintains your privacy, so you don’t have to give out your phone number or email address to a new or casual contact.
