BBM for Android and iPhone: how it will work

I must admit, I prefer the new Google Hangouts to Whatsapp. Only reason I have Whatsapp is for the poor people I know that don't have any droid love.

Why should I install this when BB users can install Whatsapp?

Why not install both? My droid notifies me when someone tries to contact me on whatsapp. I'm sure it will do the same for BB.
Then I just pull down my notification bar and read the message.

Do you not think you will be able to handle that?

Haven't met anyone in ages with BBM. Everyone I know uses iMessage

Haha, I think MyBB want to revise the Article....

Your unique PIN – Every BBM user has a unique PIN that maintains your privacy, so you don’t have to give out your phone number or email address to a new or casual contact.

What is incorrect about the article? The PIN is mentioned, it's just highlighted that your profile is no longer linked to a device-specific PIN.

I care little about privacy issues.

At the current stage I’m using Skype, WhatsApp, Viber, Google Hangouts and Facebook Messenger on my smartphone. Viber is going to be deleted soon, nobody active on there anymore. Customers contact me via Hangouts and Skype. I even have the company Help Desk App on here…

In the end BBM will add to the above, although not many people I know still have Blackberries as their daily phone.

Well the MyBB article shows

"Android and iPhone devices don’t have BlackBerry PINs, but that’s not how BlackBerry Messenger works any more"

Do you have an Android smartphone or iPhone? If so, please send me its BlackBerry PIN so that I can add you on BBM.

What you are quoting is the excerpt or subtitle, not the full article. The rest of the article places the excerpt in context.

Okkk.. Sorry, I miss understood that part... All I'm saying, is that according the Blackberry's blog, they will generate a unique code for every account registered. So yes, you will get a BBM Pin as soon as you register for the service.

I registered now, didn't get a pin.
