BDS vs Woolworths

Can the CoCT not go after BDS for giving inaccurate numbers for the "protest" out of interest?

That should have been clarified in the pre-meeting, when BDS asked for permission to hold the march. If the CoCT did NOT got to Court then they would have a case to recoup costs from BDS. Not any more...

That is very unfortunate from CoCT then....

I would have left it, and then dragged BDS over the coals for the over extension of manpower based on their inaccurate figures.

This is their "Huge" numbers btw,

I count maybe 150 people in that picture, at the most.

News24's Tammy Petersen says the protest is over. And apparently there were about 1 000 people. Significantly less than the hoped for 16 000.

Ok, so maybe 500 - 700 people there... still not really huge at all.

etv news estimated about 1000 at peak.
15 000 short of the bds figure

Wonder how many of that 1000 were people hoping to find scalpers selling tickets to the concert :)

hmm
the bds trompoppies have been deafeningly silent through this thread

Of course they have, they have been shown in very thorough terms that nobody actually gives a shyte about their pathetic protest and boycott.

No, actual tomatoes, saw these at my local woolies. www.woolworths.co.za/store/fragments/product-details/product-details-index.jsp?productId=20003951 . Too expensive, no thanks....but all you anti protest protesters feel free to buy them

The best thing about this anti-protest thing, is you can go to Woolies, and buy things that aren't from Israel and you still piss all over BDS' battery, and you don't end up spending much more than if you had gone to PnP or Checkers... :)

I buy from. Woolies cause it's closest to me and the quality of stuff is better to feed my family. I go to Checkers to earn 15% back in eBucks....so personal benefit.

Not only do I find the BDS campaign a but stupid, but I find the anti-protest thing equally as stupid and am surprised that people get affected/psyched up so much about this.
