Bed Recommendations For Side Sleepers

I've just bought a Sloom (King XL including Sloom base). It arrived yesterday, assembling the base was super quick, my kiddies even helped out :)
Tonight will be the 2nd night sleeping in it, will report back after a little while.

Any feedback on your Sloom purchase?

We have our Sloom ( King - Extra length) for about 6 months now.

Still extremely happy with it.
I sleep on the 2nd hardest "setting" and my wife one softer.

I sleep better and my back pain is much much better since sleeping on the Sloom.

So Sloom better than Cloud9? I’m also thinking of purchasing a new bed just need to convince the bank aka the wife. The Sloom looks very interesting.

The fact that you can customise the firmness of the bed and on both sides with the sloom is a winner.

They are not cheap... it's like buying a car... but you will never complain about a sore back again in your life.
Can personally attest to that (I'm also a side sleeper).
I bought a mattress from these thieves not so long ago and am embarrassed to say what I paid for it - I made a stupid, rash decision let’s just say.

Do not go near them. They will rip you off and are just after making a sale.

I am currently looking to buy a sloom mattress

I am considering returning our Sloom King XL.

It is better than our previous bed, and having options is great, but on the firmer options the softer mattress sections are on the bottom so it can "dent" a bit during the night and my ass ends up lying in a slight hole.

It is a "known issue" for me. I have had a pocketed coil mattress which I returned after 2 nights for the same reason, and our previous (way too soft) bed did it as well, although to a much worse extent.

If you sleep on the medium or soft sides, it shouldn't be an issue. It is also great if you and your partner like different firmness.
It could in theory be fixed by placing a plank between the firmness sections, but do I really want to do that with my R11K mattress to get what I want?

I read on their FB page that they have about 2% return rate, so more people like them than not.

I am a 87kg, 1.9m side sleeper who have always preferred firm mattresses, for reference.

What do you mean by known issue?

I have some kind of foam mattress, extremely firm, I'm a side sleeper and I also wake with that dent in the foam at your hip/bum location. It doesn't feel right, it's like that area where the foam has dented isn't giving much support.

Known issue with my body. I have a heavy ass compared to the rest of me or something.

We are very happy with our purchase from them.
It works perfectly as advertised.
What exactly were you not happy with?

My ass is not heavy/the booty is absent, so that can't be the reason.

It's can only be due to side sleeping, your hip point creates a pressure point which compresses the foam which over 8hrs makes a semi permanent dent.

Do you have a few hours

In a nutshell, the rep told me my base was fine. Just bought a mattress
Delivered and installed fine; no comment made by installer on the base
First few days were fine, but soon noticed the mattress sagged a bit. Called the dealer and he sent the same installer to come around.
Installer saw the sag and agreed not good; phoned his boss and then suddenly it was the base that was at fault.
They wanted to charge me R 650 for this. Refused to give me my money back as it was over 7 days

I am pleased you are happy with the product; sadly didn’t work for me.
