Hello everyone! We are in the market for a new bed. My husband and I are both side sleepers My husband rolls around quite a bit and I don't and our current bed (a King Coil) just doesn't work. Which bed brands/specific brands would you recommend? Obviously, I think a foam mattress would be best. We thought of getting a Cloud Nine, but haven't heard too many good things.

Sleeping on CloudNine for 11 years now, looking to upgrade size from Queen to King, I’m a side sleeper, love it.
I also have the Sloom on my wishlist.

Oh great, I guess it depends on which bed from Cloud Nine you bought then. Which one do you have?

A Sloom bed is on my "buy list" , just waiting for Black Friday.

Hopefully Sloom will participate !

Go to a foam supplier. They can cut any size and supply the density you want for fraction of the price.

If you're in Durban I can link the one I purchased from.

Update:

We bought a 2nd hand Sloom Queen size (hardly used) off facebook marketplace, and oh my goodness, it has been our best purchase of the year. We'll see how well it lasts throughout the years, but with the price we paid for it, doesn't really matter.

I've recently taking to sleeping on the floor with a blanket underneath. Amazingly I wake up feeling much more refreshed than a bed...was an adjustment for a week or so though.

Fire destroyed my desk and bed - candle left unattended by a family member. I'm actually reluctant to buy a bed now.

I used to sleep on those sponge mattresses on the floor for close to a year, before I bought my first bed. A cheapish one with those pocketed coils.... I slept two nights on it before going back to my sponge mattress on the floor until they could come and fetch it and replaced it with the firmest one in store.
Even now I have a memory foam mattress that's too soft and has a decent dent slept in it. The sloom is also on the shopping list for early next year.

I've just bought a Sloom (King XL including Sloom base). It arrived yesterday, assembling the base was super quick, my kiddies even helped out :)
Tonight will be the 2nd night sleeping in it, will report back after a little while.

Any feedback on your sleep?

They are not cheap... it's like buying a car... but you will never complain about a sore back again in your life.
Can personally attest to that (I'm also a side sleeper).

And? Worth the cost?

Still happy with your purchase?

We bought a Sloom mattress about two weeks ago. I love it so far, no more walking up with a numb shoulder. On the softest configuration it's still quite firm, but with a soft top layer to absorb pressure on all your pointy bits. But either way you can adjust the firmness to suit you.
