I am single by choice

I always find this statement strange. I have never consciously decided to BE single or in a relationship. It is something that just happens. As a matter of interest if, while single by choice, the woman of your dreams comes along would you tell her to get lost?

I always read these words and hear "I cannot find anyone to go out with me so I will just proclaim that I WANT to be single"

The only good thing about being single is being able to cruise the meat lockers for some ass. Oh, and that TV interrupt thing...Single people can watch an entire show without interruptions or timeouts to explain what just happened to wife, kids, dogs, cats and goldfish.

Oh wait, there's another: being single means you do not have to host a cat in your house.

it's easy for you okes to to say "enjoy the single life", but when you get batted just about anywhere, clubs, bars what ever, girls just bat me.

So although it is easy to say just get some confidence, after a few years of metal torture I've practically given up...

Spare a thought for scotty777 and belgarath, not everyone can hook a girl like AcidRaZor. Everybody is different and the world would be a boring place if we were all the same. We are all born equal as tiny innocent helpless cute babies but the home environment and circumstances shape us into different people, along with genetic predispositions. So we don't end up being "equal". Some have good looks, some don't; others have good personalities, others don't; some turn out to be psychopaths; some are disabled/impaired, etc. We are supposed to treat each other as equals but in the real world this doesn't happen .

@AcidRaZor, this is just my opinion. Mine may be right or it may be wrong. You are thick-skinned and can handle it. Me, not so thick-skinned (Give me the lingo), but I'm trying to be more thick-skinned. Everyone has a different perspective. That's why 50+ year old men frequent bars/clubs and hit on young women. They don't have anything to lose and only want 1 thing. Would they be doing it if it failed 100% of the time? no... because there's always at least 1 girl that says yes

Easy, for the first part of the relationship she feels like it's needed to keep you around. Once she's sure that you won't go a-stray or dump her ass, she scales it down. Then comes the "sex as a reward" stage where she will reward you for sex for good behavior and/or doing what she wants.

Where do you think I learned that lesson? I must admit it's tough when you're actually in it to keep it like that. Unfortunately for me, once I'm in love, I'll do pretty much anything for the woman in my life. The other unfortunately side effect of this is that its open to abuse and most often leads to breaking up because you're a push over.

That's why I prefer staying single for now, and glad I am, because now I don't have to deal with "the other me" smitten by love

Easy for some to say 'being single rocks'. Because if the need takes you to get a woman again, it's no problem.

Having never even gone on a date (I'm now in my early 30s), hooking up with a girl seem as unrealistic and as far-fecthed as anyone's chances of flying like superman. And I hate it.

And it's not because of having a low self-esteem. I consider myself to be a higher caliber person than many other men. Yet, I just don't have the
features that women look for in men.

Thats deep dude..... i think the issue with society is that EVERYONE thinks by the age you 30 you should at least be looking and planning for a life of marriage,raising kids and the whole lot.what if you still single and you never experienced something decent? then what.it sucks....no bigshot can come in2 this thread and tell me to get some balls bla bla bla and stop being a pu$$y. It's not that I don't party and such (I'm not a loser if that's the message you think I'm sending), it's just the fact that girls aren't remotely attracted to me...

I know im not hot or anything and im definetely average.i have hooked up with 2 'hot' girls in my life before but this was solely based on my pnality.i remember the one lady who was 2 yrs older than me.i charmed and talked my way into her bedroom.i was convinced the whole time she wasnt into my looks but actually my pnality which is what it should be most of the time? but she went to America so things couldnt ever develop. but these days i just cannot compete with other guys. I have a decent boep going on here and im short my pnality is gonna have to do overtime

Dude some people cannot be thick-skinned no matter how hard they try.
some of us are mommy's boys.... or gentleman. why do we have to change the way we speak or act to ladies just to get further with them? the way i see it is hopefully (and this is a big hopefully) one day some mature decent chick who puts all that nonsense aside and likes me for me. if it means i need to become and @sshole to get chicks well i guess im gonna be single for many years to come

Well all i need to complete my single-ness is having a good comeback when i pitch up alone at the work's year-end function and every ^%#$# asks "so where's the girl" ?

By the end of the night, it gets really hard NOT to give the person a really horrible sarcastic remark about "minding your own f'ing business" , unfortunately you need to work with these people :/

..and that's about the only time i'm actually annoyed at being single , during these "functions" where it is assumed everyone should come as a couple. All other times it's all just dandy.

That is so true and killed my 8 year relationship. Also sex is not satisfying when it feels like she is doing because you want it. Would rather **** than have sex with someone who does not seem interested. The best thing you can do is make her feel insecure about the relationship but that is nasty but should keep the sex alive .

I was about 180cm tall in matric and weighed 68kg. A year into gym after school and I was 182cm and weighed 88kg with the same body fat percentage. It's possible: you just need to train hard and eat.
