You forgot to add the VAT, you forgot to add shipping, storage and other transport, you forgot that the importer probably baught stock at a much higher R/$ exchange rate. Not so much a ripoff price, it's simply how the system works.

I bought a cheap lightning and 3.5mm jack adapter off of Bidorbuy, yes it works, but the sound is not great as the DAC (digital audio converter) is in the converter itself, so, cheap DAC = poor sound...
