Benzodiazepine addicted

Don't freak me out lol I'm only addicted to it for just over a year I don't think I'm really deep into it. I just need a propper substitute mainly for my insomnia.
Is it the insomnia you can't deal with or insomnia when you have work the next day? You need to take time off to deal with this.

No its just the insomnia I can't deal with 8t has nothing to do with anything that scares me I just simply cannot get sleep if I stop taking benzos that is the only issue I have, if I can get sleep without benzos I'm good to quit them. I've tried several OTC such as somnil, betasleep etc they are all garbage and did nothing. I'm strongly heading towards cannabis.... I think it's the best natural solution for me I would seek the medical help everybody has suggestion but I'm in no position to get that sort of help as it is really costly.

Where can I find these products? I'm based in durban, a friend of mine was also kind of addicted to a pill and he tried out the Vape CBD liquid he says it knocks him out cold vaping it before sleeping.

Zolpidem is HIGHLY addictive!

I asked my doc about that specifically before she prescribed it too me. People get addicted to all kinds of things (one episode of Intervention featured a woman addicted to huffing computer cleaning spray (difluoroethane) & she would buy like 20 cans at a time). Luckily, I don't really have an addictive personality...with all that said I would say that Zolpiden is probably less addictive than Valium et al mainly because you don't really build a tolerance to it as quickly as you would...where you end up having to take 5 Valium just to relieve you anxiety in the morning, then another 5 to get to sleep at night. It can escalate pretty quickly from what I understand...

Addiction to Ambien
ambien-pill-e1423590777857-238x179.jpg

Ambien is in a class of drugs known as sedative-hypnotics. This non-benzodiazepine “z-drug” has the same medical effectiveness as benzodiazepines like Xanax without the same hazardous and habit-forming properties those drugs are known for.
The makers of Ambien designed and marketed the drug as a less addictive alternative to benzos for people with acute insomnia.
Although it is not as habit-forming as benzos, Ambien is an addictive substance.
An addiction to this drug can form in as little as two weeks. Many people don’t know they have a problem until they stop taking the drug and realize they cannot sleep without it. The presence of withdrawal symptoms is one of the main signs of an addiction.

I did a bit of research and HIGHLY is quite a bit of an overstatement.
There is a good reason why drugs are scheduled because a medical professional must prescribe it and can monitor that you are not misusing it.

I dunno, physical dependance in 2 weeks is pretty damned addictive imho.
Psychological dependance is even quicker, from my own experience.

Where are you getting the Benzo's then?

This is what I want to know...my doc will only give me 10 at a time, but they aren't really that expensive IIRC, especially if you get the generic (PAX something).

If you can afford cannabis oil, you can afford a session or two with a psychiatrist.

This is definitely something you'd want assistance with, in my opinion.

Do you have medical aid?

I was paying R45 for a pack of 30 tabs

Unfortunately I don't.

To be honest with you guys, I don't see how a psychiatrist can help me because I'm not mental or anything it's just that I have a sleeping issue mainly because I'm too addictive to the tranquil effect to the tab I was taking.. I have no anxiety, depression nothing.

If this is purely about your need to sleep, then all I can think of is OTC sleeping tablets (which are going to be various antihistamines). However, I suspect the real issue is withdrawal from the benzos first and foremost, which will need to be carefully managed. I doubt there's going to be any magic substance you can take which is going to skip over that aspect of the situation.

Wow. Psychiatrists are not for "mental" people.
They're qualified doctors who can prescribe the right regimen for you to kick your habit.

I was thinking of trying out CBD (it is a vape liquid) some guys have said it helps them fall asleep but it doesn't have the sedative effect like a benzo.. do you think this could work for me? I need a solution please If anybody else was addicted to such pills like I am
CBD drops will help you sleep but are no substitute unfortunately.

Yes it is. But I need a good OTC solution, and yes it is the withdrawals I believe but I need something to weap it off
