Anyone got an opinion on this?
I have checked out a few like the logitech G5 and the Razer DeathAdder but who has a decent gamin mouse and thinks its the best?

Its time to retire my old microsoft intellimouse.

In most guys opinion the Logitech will win the comfort award// but even though the Razer is a new brand they have come along quite nicely..
I have felt the touch on the Adder and I must say the "anti sweat" is a nice touch (excuse the pun)

I use a Razer Diamondback. It's kinda old now, but still damn sweet. You could prolly pick up one of those for quite cheap now.

Depends on your requirements and budget. I needed a cordless mouse and gaming mouse, so I got the G7 and I love it.:D I use it as a "media center remote" while on the couch. Battery power is never a problem cause there is always a battery charging in the signal receiver. Press a button on the bottom of the mouse and the battery pops out. I've gotten really good at changing batteries in flash. Kinda feels like changing the mag of your gun.:)

i thought the lachesis would be the best but its sucks ass

razer copperhead for the win :)

dont take my word for it though im left handed and cannot use logitech stuff

A gaming mouse is a very personal item, just like a gaming keyboard. You need to try before you buy if at all possible. Everybody has different requirements. I swear by my Logitech G5.

I don't like cordless mice for gaming as I've had really crap experiences with them. I found the latency horrible. Yes it was a long time back and no I've not tried one recently! (before I get shot down in flames) I really don't like missing a shot because the batteries died at the wrong time! Others love them!

I know many guys who play with a cheap entry-level OEM mouse and who wouldn't change for the world. I think the ideal is to find one you like and which feels comfortable.

Just my 2c worth!

I have to say my favourite mouse of all time is definitely the A4 tech X7 Laser Gaming Mouse. It is quite cheap, changeable DPI (up to 2500), etc.

I am contemplating getting a Lachesis to see if I would change, but so far this A4tech mouse is awesome.

It got a G9 and so far I have been totally impressed. First real gaming mouse I bought. Also like the different grips and weight adjustments you can use.

Must say I am loving the new sidewinder!

It's a toss-up between Logitech and Razer

Although A4 tech has some sweeeeeeeeeeet mice :)

I'm using a Microsoft/Razer Habu at the moment.
I prefer the shape of the Habu to the logitech G5 - a lot more intellimousey (like a cross between the deathadder and intellimouse)
Also it got some nice features - 5 buttons (excluding 2 speed adjust buttons), 2 speed adjust buttons, interchangeable side buttons (a bigger set and smaller set). Nice interface for adjusting settings.
Nothing ground breaking but the essentials.
My only complaint is that the laser reads a little to high (I have to lift my mouse up about 2cm higher than my last mouse to stop it reading completely)
But i got it for about R450 which is a lot less than the G5 (it was around R700 then i think)

Still using a MS Intellimouse Optical

Works like a charm for Source games, where headshots are crucial.... Got Razor and Habu, nothing comes close to the MSIO

You need a decent mouse pad to go with your mouse, else you might aswell get the R 80 AOpen mice.

My MX500 has served me for over 4 years now. It's one of my best computer-related investments ever. I will definitely get a G something as my next mouse, seeing as the old one is getting a bit worn out. ;)

The gaming Logitech mouses are not ambidexterous though, but I'm left and use my mouse right-handed. :D

Got a Logitech G7 - a beautiful piece of engineering. The battery life ain't that wonderful but they give you 2 Li-Ion batteries and it takes 2 secs (literally) to change the battery.

I have a Logitech G7 as well and I rate its the best mouse I've used! Use it for gaming (online games) and have had no lagging issues.

Only thing is that the battery needs to be checked that it charges :p It sometimes doesn't charge when plugged in the charger...which can be annoying if your other one is running low as well :p
