Best language for Desktop Application

Cross multiplatform, It does good in every OS
I suppose by "every OS" you mean Linux, macOS and Mindows, then nope it's not the only option.

What's your definition of good?

I used Electron back in ‘83. Kak editor!

My bad re Marty McFly.

I had the BBC Model B, which as you probably know was the more full featured version of the Acorn Electron.

Essentially it had one of the first Basic's to explore the concept of procedural programming and inlining of assembler instructions. At the time I loved it , but yes by today's standards it would be a "Kak editor!".

Firstly does your app need to be native? Does the problem you are solving involve using native features like graphics libraries, etc?

If not, then I would also suggest go Electron/PWA/WebApp.
You can use a framework such a React/Angular/Vue to help.

You can write the code in one place and then deploy to Windows, Linux, Mobile, Web.
Sounds easier than it is but a good solution for cross platform, with one eye on the future.

Tech moves fast. Sunday afternoon I had an issue with Go in Atom and installed VS Code..... boy has that editor changed. I feel I need to apologise to everybody whom I tried to convince Atom was better than VS Code.

Still Electron though :p
