The toppings are not traditional though. Dont get me wrong, its nice, its just sort-of pizza. Its like avant garde pizza compared to something more traditional. Sometimes I just want the more traditional stuff.

Out of the whole thread I agree with this post the most.
If the pizza is THICK and cooked in an electric oven, well then in my view its just not proper pizza. All these western style pizzas are total crap. Butlers is the best of the bad bunch.
If you want a real pizza head on over to Bardellis. They woodfired, but take a fair deal of cash with you

Debonairs in Cape Town cbd is awesome (you'll notice the quality differs between branches of most franchises)
For Romans, it's good value for money, the one in Plattekloof in Cape Town is great.
I only ever once enjoyed a Scooters, and never again.
Colcachio is awesome but always expensive.
I'd rate St Elmos as sometimes better than Debonairs (again depending on branch), but never as good as Colcachio.
Never had a pizza perfect

I took my daughter & friends to tonipizza.co.za for her birthday.
I mean come-on, Belgium cholocate or hazelnut with marshmallows on pizza for desert .. read their menu & weep!

I have my own oven but Pizza perfect has always been one of my favorites but it does depend on the owner as some are not as good.
I do often eat Romans pizza out of convenience but it could do with quite a bit of improvement.

I would love to know what that meat is that they use. I'm pretty sure they use those frozen packs of pet mince you find in the corners of supermarket freezers.
The only thing I enjoy from them is their Tikka Chicken sub, it's pretty good. Their pizzas not so much.

Their quality has also dropped substantially over the years. I used to eat there at least once a month until I got a bacon pizza that was basically just a bacon fat pizza.
