any suggestions for the upcoming F1 season. DSTV is a backup option but if anyone knows of something that will give better quality I would really appreciate it

thanks in advance

I think the quality on BBC iplayer is HD if I am not mistaken.

I'm only interested in Formula 1.
Is there there a cheap package that covers that?

NTV is what I use for sports streaming after trying multiple other free (Acestreams and Sportsdevil) and paid options. For 15 EUR a month you get about 50 sports channels. Some are in HD and some standard definition.

Here is a review of their service and what kind of setup you can accomplish with it.

So many packages - I need the cheapest one and only for Formula 1.

If you're a Formula 1 fan you need Sky Sports F1. It's miles ahead of everything else out there, and humiliates the Supersport F1 coverage. StreamTvBox has all the Sky Sports channels in HD for R197pm. A very reasonable fee imo. It supports XBMC so you can put it on your TV.

im a huge tennis fan... i wish tennistv.com would develop a channel :(

The service I mentioned above offers coverage of all major tennis events and in HD. If you want the Tennis Channel, NTV includes it in their Sports package for R280pm (along with a lot of other sports channels, many in HD). The latter option is quite expensive though.

I'm also using NTV. I've got their UK Premium package. It's good, but I'm probably going to switch to StreamTvBox for the HD channels. I'm going to miss some of the NTV entertainment and documentary channels though.

Thanks for all the info. NTV won't work for me coz I have a roku. NTV don't offer a channel I would need to have a laptop by the TV or something... I'm trying to avoid that!

Stream TV box looks good, but again gonna have to have a laptop by the TV.

Tennis TV already gives me that. I need something that I can tap into from my roku but I don't see that happening any time soon... :(

You could always invest in a top set box that offers XBMC. I bought a DroidTV MXIII so I could use NTV.

If you setup your roku account for the UK then you can add the BBC sport app and watch f1 free but its not in HD and not as good as the sky coverage but its free
