For those not close to this business it it becoming more and more complicated to sort out which is are the better ISPs.

I have been with Axxess for some time now but especially since the Afrihost takeover was announced my speeds have become slower and slower every day. I am beginning to think that perhaps they do not want Uncapped Clients and the best way to be rid of them is to throttle them?

I would be very grateful for any advice regarding ISPs supplying Uncapped Services for 384 lines at about R200.00 per month:mad:

384k Gold - R258
512k/1024k Gold - R369
4Mbps Gold - R659

* Gold is shaped on p2p, torrents, rapidshare and similar.
* Shaping includes NNTP. When the network is busy, Shaping will take place. During quiet times, shaping is relaxed.
* 1 concurrent ADSL line connected
* Signup now, your account will be sent to you on 1 September 2011

Best advice anyone can give you.

Or if that's out of your price range go to MWEB.

Those are really your only to practical options if you want decent uncapped internet at a reasonable price.

I haven't used Openweb, but I can tell you in CT and surrounds MWEB performs much better than Afrihost, especially since they have been using the IS backbone. Most of the uncapped options out there are resales of IS's products, keep away from those if you can.
